Ethos

Here, I will set out a broad yet focused set of values and aims for newgon.com and its associated projects. The aim is to create a thriving community and platform for the sexual rights of youth, children and minor attracted persons.

Newgon.com:

This website has been built for the purpose of collaborative activism and advocacy. The central message of Newgon.com is one of sexual positivity; the idea that expressed sexuality cannot be primarily bad or harmful, or at least any more so than other forms of  human affection. Newgon.com advocates against the idea that supposed gaps in power between young and old lovers will lead to “exploitation” or abuse, as this would be an unrealistic and fundamentally negative take on sexuality itself; as a mediator of abuse. Via a series of projects, including a blog, debate guide and anti-censorship campaign, Newgon.com is aiming to become the primary resource for people who really care about these things. Whether through their own persecution or their thirst for justice and young peoples’ freedom from dangerous ideas including the myths of intrinsic harm and psychopathy of affective sexual orientations, Newgon.com members will be active in making known what is currently hidden from society.

Uncommon Sense:

This is the blogging front for Newgon.com. This blog will aim to promote the ideas mentioned above via a series of diverse, interesting, and persuasive writings by authors who may hold differing general ideologies, but still share the general concerns of Newgon.com. Writers will be able to draw upon personal, sociological, medical, logical and youth oriented themes, although they will remain united by the goal of appealing to neutral readers. In the face of society’s dominant bigotry, erotophobia, ephebiphobia and crazed witch-hunt against imagined “predators”, it was indeed only a matter of time before a platform such as Uncommon Sense was established.
