About Penalties in AOC Laws

Higher penalties are the most trivial and usual way if society wants to fight against something. There are two aims:

• Better protection: In the time the "perpetrator" is in jail he cannot commit new crimes.
• Higher compliance. But, in the case of a low rate of detection, the effect is usually not very high.

High penalties have a lot of bad side effects:

• Crimes to conceal a pedosexual relation.
• Dangerous evasive behaviour.
• Feelings of injustice.
• Increasing fear of detection in a great number of relations which will not be detected.

In the current world, even in liberal countries the penalties for consensual pedosexual relations are very high.
