Debate Guide was started by Daniel Lievre and Raza in May 2006.

In the summer of 2007, it was taken down by Google. Hosting was enhanced to a paid service laid on by the minority provider NearlyFreeSpeech.net, and Debate Guide became a subsection of Newgon.com, where it struggled for some time before being given its own domain, and was eventually absorbed into the Wiki.

The Guide can be credited to the following people:

Content:

  • Daniel Lievre - Founder of pre-Newgon resource "Debate Guide" in 2006.
  • Raza - Cofounder.
  • Strato - Frequent Uncommon Sense contributor, independent writer.
  • Catherine N.X. - Expanded logic/fallacies section.
  • Strategist - 2021+ Strategic lead/wiki admin.
  • JohnHolt - 2021+ Editor.
  • Mappymeal - 2022+.
  • Loli - 2022+.
  • Marc Redcliff - 2022+.
  • MAPCrusader - 2021+.

  • Rick: "Hi guys,I just love your website! Thanks for all your work." And thanks for suggesting a few changes - Daniel.
  • Howard: "Thank you for this great resource and thank you for educating our community and equipping us with tools and techniques for rational discussion."
  • Kea: "thanks for putting all this together, its very interesting & useful."
  • Matt: "I would just like to say that I think your website is great. I'm not a paedophile but I have spent a lot of time on the internet trying to argue on their behalf (which has led me to receive the title 'child rape apologist', would you believe it?) I agree with everything you say and it's good to know there are other people who aren't afraid to speak out against such an injustice. Anyway, thanks for giving me some new material to argue with."
  • Octaevius Altair (Published Author): "I applaud you for your site. It is the light of reason above the darkness of superstition we all must champion."
