Critics rap sex ‘animal’
Canadian Press
TORONTO — A convicted child molester says he’ll set up a toll-free phone line for men and boys interested in joining his sex-rights group.
The man’s local phone line was unplugged yesterday by the voicemail company Pagecanada.
My phone line is going to reopen and we’re going to get a 1-800 line across Canada,
Garry Rhindress, 29, told a hostile radio audience.
He accused Pagecanada of gay-bashing for disconnecting his line.
A recorded message had invited men and boys to join his group to help change laws regarding child sex rights.
l wasn’t breaking no laws,
Rhindress said. We are not a pedophilia organization.
Rhindress, who was convicted in 1989 of sexually assaulting a six- year-old boy, said laws should be changed so children can have sex.
He shocked listeners with his comments.
My blood is just boiling over,
a caller said. I can’t believe you have this animal on the radio.
A woman said youngsters have a right to enjoy childhood without 40-year-old perverts convincing them that sex is right at six years old.
The spokesman for a law firm representing Pagecanada said the company pulled the plug because it did not want to be associated with Rhindress’s activities.
