Erwin J. Haeberle (1936–2021) was a German sexologist, academic, and founder of the Archive for Sexology[1][2] , which serves as a comprehensive repository for research and materials related to human sexuality. He was recognized for his advocacy of sex education, the scientific study of sexuality, and his efforts to preserve historical documents and research in the field.

In relation to MAPs

Haeberle is mentioned by William Percy. During a visit to Berlin, Percy and Thomas Hubbard reportedly interacted with Haeberle.

He founded and directed the Archive for Sexology, which houses a vast collection of materials, including lived sexual experience of MAPs (see about Sext Kopf and David Gwyn Jeffreys)

Haeberle explored terms such as paraphilia and pedophilia and their sociological implications. His research contributed to scientific perspectives on such topics.

His analysis in Historical Roots of Sexual Oppression is referenced in discussions about societal reactions to non-normative sexualities and the historical roots of moral panic.

Haeberle also provided pre-publication comment for the book Censoring Sex Research: The Debate over Male Intergenerational Relations.
