The Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill is a public Bill in the United Kingdom. It was introduced by David Hanson in 2006 and is currently being read in the House of Lords. [1]

The Bill will amend both the Protection of Children Act (1978) and the Sexual Offences Act (2003), affecting the definition of indecent images of children and removing the requirement of dual criminality for "offences committed abroad". It will also require sex offenders to communicate any personal details required by the Secretary of State (or his/her delegates).
