Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein (January 20, 1953 – August 10, 2019) was an American financier who was convicted in 2008 for sexual intercourse with a young female named Ashley Davis - who was 17-years-old and one day from her 18th birthday at the time of the sexual contact - which she stated to investigating authorities was consensual. Much later in 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was indicted for charges related to "sex trafficking." That is, for offences where people under the age of 18 ("minors") had crossed borders to engage in prostitution and / or sex work, with the alleged events dating back to the 2000s. Epstein died in custody awaiting trial, and his death was ruled a suicide by hanging. His suicide would eventually become world famous for inspiring the meme and conspiracy theory phrase "Epstein didn't kill himself"; a phrase used to reject the official cause of Epstein's death.
