Rene Guyon[1]

Rene Guyon (27 May 1876 – 1963) was an influential French jurist, who served on the Supreme Court of Thailand for 30 years, and wrote on sexual ethics in works such as The Ethics of Sexual Acts and Human Rights and the denial of sexual freedom (1951). The René Guyon Society, a long-defunct MAP ally organization, was named after him, though he did not found the society and was not involved with it. Guyon could nowadays be called a "meme," as the lasting slogan associated with the Society inspired by his writings was "Sex Before 8 or Else It's Too Late!"

Guyon's life and thought was profiled in the Encyclopedia of Homosexuality (1990). German sexologist Erwin Haeberle wrote about Guyon in his article Human rights and sexual rights: The legacy of Rene Guyon (1983), and the academic journal Sexualities published Respectability's edge: Transnational sex radical René Guyon in 2018.
