Positive Memories (book)
Positive Memories: Cases of positive memories of erotic and platonic relationships and contacts of children with adults, as seen from the perspective of the former minor - is a 2012 collection of quotes gathered by T. Rivas from various sources, such as online forums or other similar collections. The book can be counted among the similar (qualitative) case studies conducted by Frits Bernard, Edward Brongersma, Theo Sandfort, Terry Leahy, B. Rind, P. Tromovitch, R. Bauserman, Tom O'Carroll, etc.
Positive Memories includes 145 cases of voluntary child-adult and youth-adult contact in various combinations of boys and girls with women and men. There are cases of both sexual and platonic relationships. The author gives attention to positive memories of loose contact, i.e. sexual contact outside of the relationship. The author concludes that there are consensual and harmless relationships, dispelling the stereotype of always unwilling, suffering, and asexual child.
In 2021, the author asked Ipce - where he first published the online copy of the book, to withdraw it due to fear of legal consequences. Since 2012, there have occurred some judicial developments in the Netherlands which make such publications insecure for authors[1][2]
