Beert C. Verstraete (b. 2 April 1944, Zwolle, The Netherlands) is a Dutch‑Canadian classicist who immigrated to Canada in 1958, earned his PhD in Classics at the University of Toronto in 1972, and spent his academic career at Acadia University (Wolfville, Nova Scotia) from 1978 until his retirement in 2011 (tenure 1983; full professor 1991; department chair 1990–2000 and 2006–2009).
