Newgon is also hosting a separate page with multiple screen-caps of Twitter and NNIA activity for the purpose of character analysis elaborated here, and independent research.

Preface: The below documentary study refutes distorted criticisms of Newgon.

It also entertains flawed sensational theories as to cultic behavior, indoctrination and "grooming" among anti-contact MAPs, and MAPs on the wider Fediverse.

NewgonWiki strongly recommends that readers familiarize themselves with the wider MAP Fediverse and its sometimes deliberate, ironic, fictional glorification of the bizarre and "degenerate" before delving down the rabbit hole of this documentary article. There is still an intense stigma on attraction to minors, exacerbated by deviancy-amplification effects at this early stage of our community's battle for visibility and acceptance. What is documented in this study is likely to represent a high-water-mark, a stress-test for negative portrayals of credible MAPs. It is argued that despite the clamor and conjecture surrounding MAP Fediverse, it takes little analysis to determine the lives of the people behind these accounts are in fact banal. Jim focuses on the most supposedly extreme of these cases by reviewing two "doxx" files on community leaders and reviewing the activities of a high-profile orbiter implicated in malicious behavior. He concludes that two of them are at worst functioning sadists, and the other personage's group represents a typically harmless, self-reinforcing online fandom.

Since we will not link the doxx files from this article, a good place for readers to start their own research would be this[1] screamingly condemnatory 2024 YouTube "call-out" on the MAP Fediverse community, which reached viewing figures in excess of 60,000.

MAP Fediverse's foundational, Tumblr-inspired NNIA instance is prioritized in this essay, since myths about Newgon first originated from two of its highly active contributors - both subjects of the essay. Claims of cultism and grooming within, and around this group are found to be wanting, however. Those accused of these things do not appear to have the competence to carry it on in any meaningful way, with the "Newgon Man Bad" claims analysis revealing many examples of un-cult-like behavior. The flaws uncovered might, when considered in part, permit the efficient running of a "cult", but never when considered in sum. Jim affirms the moderate interpretation of NNIA as an antisocial clique, and MAP Fediverse as an ironic playground, a fandom rather than a cult or "sex ring".

"Newgon Man Bad", and the "Lecter Cult"

Two permanently online myths reviewed

??/06/24 ◆ Jim Burton - DRAFT

Introduction

This essay, which started as an analysis of anti-Newgon claims made since 2021, concerns the 2021-2023 defamation campaign against Newgon Organization and its "proxies", perpetuated via Fediverse by the anti-c MAP Tumblr clique (nowadays, NNIA - a Fediverse instance). This, alone was deemed to be insufficient scope. So as well as covering the criticisms of others, it also serves as an analysis of:

a) Equally false, repeated claims, including those of ex-members, that the NNIA Fediverse instance is functioning as a "cult". By extension, any claims that the adjacent radqueer pediverse is "cult-like". It is suspected those who are accused of leading it have no real interest in playing down these nonsense theories, and actually feed off them. Ezra, whose instance I profile later on, I will exclude from that number.
b) The character of its manager/administrator, Lecter, who has recently been subject to doxxing and censorship campaigns via a well-known "harassment gateway" site. Also a "shallower" analysis as to the character of his "orbiter", Iris. Character analysis is important here, as I will argue that visible character flaws among leadership and orbiters demonstrate a lack of capability (or incompetence) with respect to organized cultic activity and by extension alleged "grooming"[1] of "minors" within the present online MAP community. Lecter's possibly self-aggrandizing claims of being a "sadist" can be upheld, but only to a banal, "functioning" degree.

At its heart, this essay concerns an online spat between two groups - one (more often) anti-c and limited to social Fediverse, and the other pro-c and active on Matrix, a federated real time chat platform. But in light of more pressing matters, it has evolved into a de-facto defense of the MAP Community from the broader trans-inclusive/pedophile cultism grooming trope,[2] and theories of widespread sadistic and malicious behavior from within and without.

It's an in-joke that the MAP Community repeatedly fails to live up to expectations

Sadistic, or malicious behavior (not thought), represents an unwelcome fringe of our community. Such behavior is far from representative of the majority of active persons associated with the MAP Community, let alone the silent. Amplifying baseless, factionalist conspiracy theories of "cults" and "grooming" from within is highly irresponsible behavior, given a) How relatively little media attention MAP Fediverse has received so far, and b) The direction that criticism is already taking. At this point, we need to think very carefully about how we face down accusations of cultism and grooming, as these controversies can blow up in the blink of an eye. Adverse publicity presents us with a massive opportunity with respect to socially engineering public perceptions of our community. While the media/influencer bubble controls 80-90% of the narrative, we command a smaller, but critical portion of the viral publicity. PR strategy may become a very relevant topic for MAP Fediverse, in a very short time.

The points of disagreement between the two MAP groups I describe are now largely considered historical. The more far-fetched claims (Newgon being involved in racist, transphobic ideology) are already discredited, insofar as users can simply view the content of NewgonWiki, or address any concerns with its primary content manager, myself - Jim Burton. Ultimately, those theories written about later on in this article are now only repeated unseriously or occasionally/naively on Fediverse instances. They are already understood to be "personally motivated" "tit for tat", etc, nevertheless requiring constant investment of time to undermine and suppress. This, I believe, cuts to why the defamation campaign was started in the first place, and why I have been forced to compile a master index of the various untruths. The exact historical background is less well-known and no doubt predominantly consigned to the social censor's dustbin, but can be expanded upon within this essay.

List of claims

My focus in this essay is on why these bizarre claims were made against Newgon - an analysis of the accusers' motive and character. So this comes before my analysis of the claims, which I will briefly list below in rough order of maliciousness and absurdity.

Correcting the record

NNIA's administrator (Lecter), one of the initial amplifiers for the 2018 MAP Flag, made grandiose demands for NewgonWiki (a privately owned wiki) to modify its content at the peak of this drama. Is this really the kind of behavior one would expect an alleged "cult leader" to engage in?[3]

It should be noted that I have in fact offered on many occasions to flesh out the historical background described in this essay, and the somewhat transparent motives of the accusers. But I have never been pressed to do so, such is the apparent, all-consuming will of others to believe in gremlins. One of the sad things about this campaign of defamation, is that I was not "there" (as such, on Fediverse) to defend myself over the first 18 months or so - i.e. during its formative stages. I was naive to social Fediverse, only operating one barely-used account that did not allow me to search for the content I have later been forced to address. During those formative stages, I was helping to set up and manage a group of MAP Activists on various social media, and performing the usual editorial duties associated with my role.

Sadly, it turns out that even some pro-c's got sucked in by the propaganda drive. After finally appearing on Youjo, a fediverse instance, I was adamant for too long the falsehoods addressed within this essay could be blown away by appealing to the basic critical thinking of such individuals, without explaining the historical background and individual motives. My attitude was "do you really need this explaining from bottom to top?" So ultimately, this essay will fully elaborate the Newgon/MAP Tumblr drama, its background and the motives of those who instigated it. It will be my final substantive input to that debate. My essay represents a consolidation of two existing Newgon articles that will be deleted and redirected, so there exists one single point of reference for refuting misinformation about Newgon. I will also address criticism from other sources such as antifeminist BoyChat users and some "Normosexual" type assimilationists who engaged in critiquing of Newgon and initiatives it supports via Twitter and more recently from an MRA perspective.

Parties

Below, I will define and lightly detail the parties to which the bulk of my essay refers, and my relation to them.

"Newgon" - Myself (Jim Burton), or alternatively the organization/wiki. It has often been used erroneously (by others) to refer to PCMA, a MAP activist work group and Matrix chat room that was hosted on Newgon's Yesmap server during the period most of the criticisms were made, but not since early 2024.

Newgon, the organization itself, is made up of only four individuals at the time of writing, and three when most of the criticisms below were made. It is supported on a voluntary basis (technical maintenance) by unaffiliated individuals. It finances various online initiatives such as social communities, and communication platforms that may be useful to MAP Activists:

  • Newgon is not an academic authority in and of itself, and does not fund or carry out any studies it cites. Newgon presents information, so that it can be digested by an informed audience and assessed on its own merits.
  • I have tried to style Newgon as politically nonpartisan. In this sense, I, and my Eds collect and repeat talking points, memes and artwork from an intellectually diverse pool of supporters, and detractors. Repetition is not endorsement. Intellectual diversity is not far-right.
  • Newgon has never claimed to be the sole originator of "MAP" as a term, although its founders were very important in this regard. Under my guidance, Newgon carried out the first complete analysis of historical evidence, concluding that the concept goes back to the late 90s, a decade before Newgon even existed. As detailed in that article, a highly active future contributor of ours was the first to systematically (i.e. more than once) use the exact term "Minor Attracted Person". Our article explains how Brian did this through blogs and various online media such as comment sections on The Guardian and other news sites. He was subsequently supported by Newgon and its members in this endeavor.
My more recent "Union" iteration of the MAP Flag combines the 2018 effort subjected to the controversy explained later, with one of my previous graphics - producing multiple gradients

"PCMA" - A MAP activist group named and co-founded by myself, involved in trolling[4] and arguing over MAP topics. As above, it must be noted the sheer size of PCMA as a real time chat platform - often amassing 500-2,000 messages per day. This makes it possible for lurkers to "shop" for examples of "bigotry" from what remains open, lively and sometimes offensive discourse. For example, one person (Iris, see below) has infiltrated and patiently surveilled the chats, using a vanity wiki to circulate the absurd claim "Transphobia is also rampant in the PCMA server", based on this kind of selective reading.

PCMA is in any event, no longer supported by the Yesmap server (in turn supported by Newgon) for reasons of productivity and value-for-money. While it could be argued that the lack of productivity as an activist workgroup goes hand-in-hand with livelier political discourse, it was not the nature of that discourse as such, that caused me to pull the funding. While I did at the time wish for more stringent and faster moderation of the chat, uncivil behavior was far from a critical issue at the time and I boasted of a 100% clean record with respect to doxxing and illegal content incidents during my 2 years as host - something I remain very proud of under such trying circumstances.

"NNIA" - The anti-contact MAP Fediverse instance styled on MAP Tumblr. At this time, it is the most successful surviving MAP Fediverse instance, with almost 300 active users. While significantly diminished, this is a lot larger than the current FreeSpeechTube instance for example, and roughly the same as the now-discontinued Yesmap Matrix Server we had at the time these claims were made. Present-day MAP Matrix (a selection of chat servers, to which the parts wrongly described as "Newgon" are central) is now considerably larger than NNIA on its own.

"Lecter" - The administrator of Anti-c Pediverse instance NNIA, MAP Wiki editor; amplifier of doxxes himself, he was recently subjected to doxxing at a popular harassment gateway site. Founder and almost solitary observer of Zoosadism Pride as a movement and community.[5] Supposedly Russian, and at some point a Psychology Student,[6] and has been part of the MAP Community since 2017.

Identified by the doxx thread mentioned above as a female-named Russian Citizen with a tomboyish appearance matching somewhat his transmasculine online identity/persona and self-drawn art. Self-describes as a Sadist, Zoosadist, a multi-paraphile, a sufferer of ASPD/Sociopathy, POCD, possible PTSD, ADHD.[7] "Authoritarian Communist" as per his carrd, and has joined many communities such as Deviantart and Tumblr, generally adopting paraphilic (MAP, Zoo, Sadist) identities. Lecter, it has to be said is also somewhat narcissistic ("default-followed" by over 1,000 server members on NNIA), but not apparently an approval-seeker.

I personally as an anthropo-sadist and a zoosadist fantasize about having my own image reflected through the fear of my victim and about having them watch me and try to predict what I want to do.[8]

Lecter writes a lot on paraphilia topics (he is a central figure to the idea of paraphilia as identity/activism) and designs models/infomemes as well as sharing his art and day-to-day thoughts on the NNIA instance. His contributions are generally insightful with respect to issues of social justice and identity, but fail on some rather critical matters, see for example his reconciliation of anti-c values with Youth Liberation. He is considered a very notable person on Pediverse, but not as popular since the waning of the Twitter MAP community, anti-c pediverse community and relative rise of radqueers and their social instances (a newer group that permits pro-c discourse, and to whom Ezra, below, is central).

"Iris" - The other highly active Anti-c in the defamation campaign, Iris has they/it pronouns and sometimes identifies as a loli (a small girl, as per Lolicon). Iris is an NNIA user under multiple names, may sometimes identify as a plural system[9] and also edits MAP Wiki.

Iris is particularly active on the Newgon article, and has apparently demonstrated its comradely behavior as a MAP by patiently sitting in front of a screen as thousands of its allies messages scroll by, clicking its mouse when something "problematic" flashes up.[10] Iris self-describes itself as mentally-ill, psychopathic, a biastophile (rape fetishist) and a nonsexual Zoosadist, and remains a close associate of Lecter, who shares many of those interests.[11] For much of the period in question, Iris was a minor, and often used the name Chronic. Iris, after having harassed and doxxed a number of MAPs it deems unpalatable, then details its support for vigilantism against supposed abusers.[12]

Iris, an Anarchist and self-describing "Victimological Feminist", I have ultimately referenced throughout this essay because of its defamatory editing activity and adjacency to Lecter. As a less influential personality in Pediverse, it will not be profiled at length, however. Much of the relevant information on Iris is detailed in our collection of screenshots - depicting its occasional unhinged and malicious behavior rather than its intellectual input, which we do not intend to downplay in any way.

As a side-note, Iris did not spare its closest associate (Lecter) from its own malicious behavior. Iris is a former online date of Lecter's (whilst itself a minor) and the source of a "grooming" accusations file against Lecter first published some time around 2021, and detailed in the doxxing thread. We may reproduce that file after it has been checked for sensitive information or redacted. It might be the case that Iris's subsequent malicious behavior was only tolerated by Lecter because of this information, and possible further information that was withheld from publication.

At an intellectual level, Iris's work is generally placid, victimhood-oriented and well-argued. In others, it is badly over-argued. This is often dependent upon Iris's fluctuating mood while composing writings. While I would describe Iris's behavior as "lapses", albeit extreme ones, what is perhaps more relevant is Lecter's toleration of its clearly unhinged behavior.

"MAP Wiki" - NewgonWiki alternative edited predominantly by Lecter and Iris. Founded in 2022, their largest article is an attack piece on Newgon that appears to deliberately and repeatedly make claims not supported by its own sources. An article on [Minor Attraction] copy-edits our own research without credit, but deliberately excludes crucial information deemed inconvenient (the above mentioned archive evidence under bullet-point 3 for Newgon).

"Ezra" - Webmaster of oddballs.online, a Pediverse instance rooted deeply in fiction and irony. Discussed later on, in the context of "grooming" and "indoctrination" allegations via a "doxx" file that purports to expose the worst of what Pediverse is about. Not involved in malicious behavior as per the above.

MAP Tumblr vs Newgon

Historical background, deeper critique.

So how did it start? The short version is that mischaracterizations of myself, Newgon and its supported projects were peddled predominantly on the NNIA Fediverse Instance between 2021 and 2023. I was unaware of this Fediverse activity at the time, but it involved two anti-c individuals in particular; Lecter and Iris, who I describe in the section on "parties" above. It now appears those two were constructing an image of me as a "fascist" or "alt-right fascist enabler". By the time I realized what was happening, these ideas were also occasionally being repeated uncritically by other individuals, so I instinctively knew something awful had happened, and could guess pretty much the reasons for it.

The campaign itself was very deliberate in nature and carried out by those two individuals. They were also the leaders of a small group of personally-motivated anti-c's I first interacted with on Twitter, what I now know was just prior to commencement of the defamation campaign. Their initial complaints (on Twitter) related to my own[13] repetitive and insistent promotion of, at that time unseen archive research into the 00s-10s pro-c MAP Community. This concerned in particular - the later (anti-c) 2018 MAP Flag, and what are most probably related (pro-c) designs from as early as 2008/9. I had never expected from their complaints on Twitter, they were also slandering me as a reactionary to their followers.

To understand the motives, we must fully document the lengths to which these individuals went to build a portrayal of myself. To these ends, the list of false and tendentious claims linked above this section (but positioned later in this article) may be instructive. But in particular, we need to ask why my dry and impersonal (admittedly repetitive) sharing of contrary historical narrative would inspire this group to:

  • Construct a Wiki article entirely (and without credit) from my own historical research[14] into MAP communities, eliminating vital archive information they found inconvenient?[15]
  • Then construct the second largest of any of their Wiki articles, predominantly referring to the *content of my private website*, but then tying to it further misrepresentations of initiatives I supported financially at the time, such as PCMA.
  • Why did they deceptively use the name of my site and organization ("Newgon") in reference to activity on a chat server I was involved in funding, made up of individuals who were not members of said organization?
  • What would motivate them to falsely[16] and conveniently claim my private site was offline during the period in which the better-known 2018 MAP Flag was designed? The inconvenient content, pray-tell?
  • Why would they be driven to take their campaign to Fediverse, and take the seemingly irrational risk of flat out lying to their own followers that PCMA or "Newgon" as they referred to it, represented a trollfarm of fascists and baby-sex apologists?
  • Why would PCMA go on to be visited by numerous disruptors over the following months, undermining its efficiency and driving it towards factionalism?
  • And aside from that (but not entirely unrelated), why is a Fediverse instance supposedly united by its users shared social invalidation or non-normativity, so often characterized by frankly malicious behavior? The evidence is here for all to see.

The answer has to be that there was some motive, somewhere. And that motive, I suspect, can only be anti-c/pro-c factionalism, a form of factionalism I personally distance myself from, but often get unwillingly dragged towards. The motivation for this campaign was in effect a failed attempt on the part of extremist anti-c's to propagandize their already dwindling user base, by painting myself, the messenger as some kind of foreign disruptor - a crazed pro-c and agent of the enemy.

It is easy to ignore that in its early stages, this represented an attempt to protect a false "reality" they had constructed, in the absence of pro-c's such as myself. An image of the modern MAP Movement being entirely anti-c in its foundations, and its pre-internet pro-c manifestations as being at best forgettable. For this is the view that is most likely to have been supported by an uncritical reading of post-2010, pre-2021 manifestations of our community. I had the strong feeling engaging with them on Twitter, that my mere presence as an alternative to them, let alone the small team I had assembled, was to be seen as an aggression.

The "Flag Drama"

It appears the MAP Flag (which caused considerable public controversy in 2018) was indeed predated by a series of 2009 graphics discussed on Newgon.com, the predecessor to Newgon.net and wiki.Yesmap.net. One such graphic was a similar gradient flag design by the German pro-c artist Philist, with a very similar written rationale to the later NOMAP/anti-c-aligned effort that came to be embraced as the MAP Flag.

Given the similarity, and how his design predated the other by almost a decade, I felt this was worth mentioning. I wanted to spark a debate in the community - not about outright "plagiarism" as such, but simply to do what I could within my power (website, social) to push my theory the concepts were probably related in some way. To identify and validate the crucial role that pro-c's played in the foundation of our present community.

But it appears what really tipped Lecter and Iris over the edge, was that I did something they secretly believe is reserved only for their "kind", i.e. anti-c "paraphilic" MAPs. Yes, I designed an alternative flag (the 2021 MAP Flag, predecessor to my 2023 "Union MAP Flag") and used my low-to-moderate clout to promote it!

By then, I had established a (very) small group of activists on Twitter, employing similar guerilla information warfare techniques to those of the 2007/8 Wikipedia Campaign. I started off by posing myself as a bigoted conservative Boomer from Utah, prone to making statements about the (voluntary) chemical castration of perverts, and their ultimate redemption. It was of course, a ruse, as this Boomercon had an unrealistically deep knowledge of MAP History in the LGBTQ Movement, and took pleasure in unloading on LGBTQ+ and fandoms when they made a point of denying these facts.

I then eventually moved on to my most persisting alter-ego, an insufferably aloof Black Swedish Sociologist and pro-MAP Scholar who had a tendency towards making grandiose statements rooted in civil rights rhetoric. This personality, and the collaborative undermining of anti-c doxa my team represented, I have now learned was so aggravating to members of the clique, they will still today occasionally utter the name I gave him. Yes, in some circumstances (and I tell no lie) they sometimes refer to me as "Jamal".

Enter "Lecter" and others

One of the few times we have seen Lecter address the "cult" myth
At this point, readers may wish to progress to the section of untruths propagated by Lecter and Iris. This depends on your level of reading/knowledge on the topic at hand, and what kind of reader you are.

Since joining Twitter in 2021, I have learned from others that the anti-c "clique" I was interacting with, was based around the online Paraphile Tumblr MAP personality, Lecter. Lecter, for example was the person who was leading the campaign against "Newgon" on Fediverse and to a limited extent, Twitter, when I was attempting to share my research concerning MAP Identity. It should be noted that I was not attacking him personally, but ideas that had been normalized within his group as to the history of MAP communities, and their composition.

Following those initial skirmishes, I attempted to establish the good faith or otherwise of the character I now know as Lecter. I did this by initiating personal communications with him and offering to help with his own research. It soon became obvious there was no basis (not even on his own terms) this individual was willing to engage in good faith - no interest in settling whatsoever. And that's when his "Wiki Articles" discussed later began to appear, slowly documenting the body of untruths I was at that point unaware he was spreading on his instance.

What is left of this "MAP Tumblr" group can now be found simmering on the abovementioned NNIA Fediverse Mastodon instance, administered by Lecter himself. By 2021 - three years after Tumblr's mass banning of MAPs, and the MAP Flag controversy, Lecter's following was already fading into obscurity. And it was said by former anti-c's in my group, to have been quite the "cult of personality" at its peak, even inspiring "superfan" type accounts. I was told this group had coined and celebrated "Zoosadist Pride", and lead members openly described themselves as psychopaths and antisocial activists.

Amazingly, this all checked out[17] (at least in a "deliberately edgy fiction" way), and I subsequently witnessed the coinage and celebration of various paraphilias related to fantasies (not acted upon) centering on the rape, torture and "grooming" of children and infant animals. And Nazi fetishism. The kind of things that while completely defensible within the realm of fantasy, would be deemed highly problematic if ever acted upon.[18]

Lecter (NNIA.space): Insights from the doxx thread

I'd like to build my profile of Lecter at this point, and work towards a comprehensive character analysis before seriously entertaining the accusation that he is a "groomer", let alone a cult leader.

We already know Lecter is a sociopath, a sadist and a creative - a person of relatively high intelligence and some influence, with plenty of time on his hands. These, even when listed together, are not too uncommon traits for permanently online personalities and fandom orbiters. Lecter is highly resentful towards society; this spans from his own antisocial personality and dislike of social norms such as amatonormativity for instance. As demonstrated in the references I provided earlier, Lecter "scorns the norm", even to the point of scorning paraphiles who present themselves as benign or compassionate. He believes this is highly damaging and exclusionary to other paraphiles such as himself. Lecter has previously shown an instinctive dislike of tenderqueers.

At this point, we also know, or strongly suspect the following:

a) Lecter and others have deliberately lied and misrepresented others online - see, my claims appendix for many such examples. These may be deliberate lies, told in an attempt to control an opponent's behavior and language - to make them wary of making "bigoted" statements that might be deliberately taken out of context in the future. This is a well-established strategy employed in asymmetric information-warfare; Lecter himself says he enjoys controlling the behavior of others - being acknowledged and forcing a reaction.

b) NNIA's history of malicious behavior, documented in Hina's screen caps.

c) Accusations in said file against NNIA, of being a cult or grooming "ring". We often hear such vague allegations in fandoms and marginalized communities, so these need to be treated with the utmost care.

I need to look for alternative texts to tell me more about what motivates Lecter, and what his key character traits are.

One outlet is a doxx thread and document on a popular online-harassment site that frequently mocks and pursues "cringe" online personalities. In this thread, Lecter is accused of "grooming" children.

These threads can be frustrating, as not only is the editing selective, but the authors are constantly attempting to prove a point. On the other hand, most of the information in these threads can be verified.

Nevertheless, the type of anti who profiles lolcows is fundamentally different to the try-hard "pred hunter" anti who campaigns against particular individuals on Twitter. I'd say they appear to be a bit more chilled out about their work, and concerned with the observational comedy of real (on-line) life, which makes for somewhat better viewing for researchers. I'm ultimately asking them - what is the most extreme accusation you can come up with, and where is the proof?

Work in progress - reading required.

Lecter (NNIA.space): Analysis of argument style - Anti-c Youth Liberation

In order to develop our picture of Lecter as a person, let's now take a look at how he deals with a complex philosophical topic. We already know Lecter has a unique anti-assimilationist perspective that is so heavily minority and deviance-focused, that it could almost be described as anti-expansionist. He is certainly not a supporter of compromising "big tent" mass-movements, and "scorns the norm" to these ends.

Railing against the norm, however, is futile; an expression of impotence and a well-known coping mechanism for egodystonia. Scorning the norm from an identarian (in his case, Trans, Hebephile, Paraphile, Psychopath, Sadist, Sociopath) perspective is particularly absurd, for the very reason all our identities are inseparable from and shaped by normative social processes. When identarians demand society bend for them; change what it considers to be a normative state of mind, they speak not for a recognition of their identity, but rather its abolition, since the identity itself is coined and shaped in reference to the norm. I explained this fully in a post on BoyChat.org in 2024.[19]

The Anti-c YouthLib: How do you respond when they say "yes"?

Despite being an Authoritarian Communist who believes in the rule of law, Lecter considers himself to be a supporter of Youth Liberation. Not only that, he also maintains anti-contact values and supports maintaining present Age of Consent laws.

His recent essay explaining how he reconciles Youth Liberation with Anti-contact philosophy is located on his blog.[20] Since there is so much wrong with the essay, I suspect the greatest insight here is that these opinions are not deeply held or well-considered. I'll nevertheless go into debate-mode. To start:

Many pro youthlib pro cs like to reframe the contact discourse as something connected to sexual (and romantic) behavior of the youth, rather than behavior of older people that involves the youth. [...] the laws that limit the youth’s access to pornography, sex toys, sexual sites, contraceptives, abortion are not byproducts of the age of consent, but the age of majority and the social construct of a “minor” [...] the age of consent regulates older persons’ actions that target the youth. Removing one does not mean removing the other, I am pro abolition of the age of majority and everything connected to it, and I’d like to keep the age of consent (with some reforms) as a way to regulate what older people can or cannot do.

This is a repetition of the well-worn myth that a youth's freedom is not negatively implicated by consent laws. Minors are disproportionately targeted (to an extraordinary degree) by such laws designed to protect them from abuse. Sometimes minors number up to 10-50% of the total accused or even convicted of child sex offences, including sharing of pornography even the prosecutors agree is consensual.

It is also logically unsound to argue sex laws do not restrict a young person's liberty because they target adults as the aggressor. Firstly, adults are also targeted by ageist tobacco laws, laws against pornography and medical procedures. Providing any of these to minors can amount to a prosecutable offense for which an adult can be punished.

With respect to minor-adult sex, assuming the minor partner is not the "perpetrator" or engaged in sex work, there is usually no technical infraction of the law on their part, but that is where their "freedom" ends. They are effectively forced to stay silent about these relationships, or otherwise face severe social fallout, including no end of gaslighting and social shaming related to ongoing relationships. This is hardly freedom of choice. Would we similarly argue a gay teenager is "free" to pursue deep and meaningful discussion of their sexuality with their violent/homophobic parents?

A great deal of guilt is also caused by self blame - i.e. the feeling of bringing harm unto the person the younger partner considers to have been a friend, looking out for them. Do I believe Lecter seriously believes in his argument, having been around MAP spaces for this many years? Probably not, and I hope not.

It is true that the youth’s sexual autonomy needs to be respected and there need to be legal documents that ensure adults do not bar children and teens from exploring their own sexuality.

Again, we have the ageist appeal to preexisting social-class categories (adult, minor, child) in an argument intended to promote the "liberation" of their members from said categories. This is married with essentializing and demeaning language. "Experimentation" presents young peoples' sexuality as especially incomplete and yet to be perfected - yet to reach a stable plateau unique to "adulthood".

One would also have to ask Lecter about this new "liberated" class of doubtless, consent-aware youth who are well-educated on all matters sexual. What is a Youth-Liberating Authoritarian Communist to do, when those emboldened young people turn around and say "yes" to sex of their choosing? Punish them, or respect their agency?

Neither the idea of iatrogenic harm – trauma originating from the society, not the sex act – is an argument in defense, because it only proves the society makes everything worse, not that everything is fine in absence of intervention.

Society is the intervention. Iatrogenic harm is by definition harm caused by medical intervention; a form of social intervention. I doubt very much Lecter has even looked up the definition, yet even if Iatrogenisis referred to the effects of society as a whole, an "absence of intervention" would indeed account for many harmful social effects. As for negative effects unrelated to direct intervention, social taboos are inextricable from laws, restrictions and interventions. Taboos and oppressive laws are one and the same system. I fail to see how these could be the deeply-held beliefs of someone who has seriously thought about both consent laws and Youth Liberation.

“But isn’t it limiting the child’s freedom if they’re the one who wants it?” is an argument I also hear often. But I don’t believe wants of a statistically unclear number of people should be followed by legal decisions that affect the life of the entire population these people belong to. Especially given how there isn’t a movement of children and teens campaigning for abolition of the age of consent, and major youthlib organizations are not involving themselves in this matter either.

This is the anti-pornography argument repurposed. Where does the absence of a law against something palpably effect those who wish not to partake of it?

Once again, we see the repetition of a flawed argument that has already been thoroughly challenged inside our community. This time, the bigoted idea that a supposed "collective will" or "shared indifference" of a class-group such as minors can be taken as consent to restrict the freedom of individual class-members; individuals who might not be all too happy waiting X number of years. It is also obvious to anybody who has thought about the topic for more than 10 seconds, that you could easily employ this argument against Youth Liberation as a wider movement.

The argument also ignores the huge demographic disadvantage of young people in the gernontocentric political sphere, and has troubling implications for other groups (ethnic minorities, women, gays) who were silenced and suffered from similar socialized apathy prior to their liberation.

In one of his better moments, Lecter observes that "childlove" sites from a couple of decades ago over-emphasized parental authority. It is correct to identify most "childlove" literature was an Alice-in-Wonderland pipe-dream, in which the "liberated pedophile" simply "assumed his natural role in the child's life" once parents had been "educated by liberals" until they forgot about the bad-man stigma. Putting aside the "childlove" meme's awful optics, you can never entirely divorce parental authority from stigma against MAPs. "Predator stigma" springs from and feeds into parents' denial of young people's agency; free exercise of their sexuality, identity, citizenship rights etc.

We also hear that:

The roots of both anti contact and pro contact activism largely ignore agency of children. [my emphasis]

Maybe this forgivable mistake can be put down to a lack of reading or archive research going back further than cached websites from the 00s. Some of the newer activists, it appears, have a tendency to view themselves as pioneers, and all who came before them as normative, offering no satisfactory answers.

A better question would perhaps be, how did early initiatives deploy these agency arguments, and why were they either not successful or not listened to at the time?

But getting back to the bigger picture, Lecter's problem here is something that has dogged his online existence from almost the beginning.

Being an antisocial activist and a moralist at the same time is an incredibly hard act to pull off. Especially as time wears on, eyes grow tired and skepticism grows. In order to attack and invalidate other entities, Lecter, an antisocial, is forced to assume and repurpose social values - morality as weaponry. He must deliberately assimilate this deeply feeling external world's values into his own pulseless cadaver of a being in order to have a tangible impact on it.

But unfortunately, all ethical and moral boundaries are socially constructed. In that world, to be a sociopath and express your deep resentment at society is reasonable in and of itself.

But say I reject society, and wish not to be held to account by it. Rightly or wrongly, others will expect me to be amoral, or at most, some kind of hard-line rational consequentialist. Most will just find it implausible, even hypocritical when I arbitrarily select and deploy social/moral values, categories, norms - as weaponry to support my antisocial agenda.

This understandably leaves characters such as Lecter with very little plausibility and enduring appeal. The best they can hope for is, yes, to be unpopular, but to get by using online discourse to evince a short-term dopamine-rush. A temporary crutch for their mildly sadistic tendencies.

Lecter (NNIA.space): Comprehensive character analysis, conclusion

In conclusion, I see no reason why Lecter's character, nor the characters of notable others would set us up to unmask a cult or "grooming ring" when I round-off my analysis of NNIA later on. My strong impression is one of a person who acts according to their deeper grievances with society by adopting social values, identities and norms in a selective, facultative manner.

Far from "non normative", Lecter's is an example of normative identity politics entering a space that was for 2-3 decades practically uninhabitable by any bar the insane and deluded. Antisocial and sadistic tendencies are not unusual in online spaces. Owing to a kind of selection-bias, this is particularly true when dealing with marginalized identities. Simply interacting with minors is not evidence of "grooming" or manipulation; like minded characters find each other online for catharsis, and that's a good thing.

I believe we are starting to build the picture of something and someone far more banal, less edgy than might first meet the eye. Not a "bad" individual, as such. But a wounded individual, who thinks very deeply on some topics (his own social invalidity and deviance) and reacts performatively/irrationally (broader civil rights, strategy), and sometimes stupidly over other concerns. Clearly, his orbiter and assistant, Iris is a deeply troubled, dishonest and unpleasantly volatile individual - see for example its many deliberate misquotes and blatant distortions in the claims analysis. Just how badly he is compromised by this individual, only Lecter will know, but the collected material of my former moderator and current PCMA administrator, combined with the dox incident perpetuated by Iris would seem to suggest a lot. This should have already had implications for the NNIA Fediverse instance, and I will go over a few possible solutions and lessons to be learned later on.

There are also further issues surrounding competency I will briefly discuss later, with respect to salacious claims that we have a cult leader, or serial "groomer" in our midst. But for now, we should seek to build our profile of the broader Pediverse, and to do that, we must divert our attention away from the example of Lecter.

Ezra (oddballs.online): Insights from the doxx document

Another individual I was asked to investigate was Ezra, the webmaster of oddballs.online, and subject of the early 2024 doxx[21] leading to the YouTube video in the lede of this article.[1] While I can not link the document because it contains sensitive information, multiple claims had been presented (on Tumblr and X.com) alleging that "grooming of minors" was taking place on this site. It appears to be an erotic art/fiction social hub aimed at MAPs and others with a taste for irony, fiction and hornyposting (behind tags). The document was said to be typical of grooming accusations and call-outs against marginalized communities, so I will include my analysis of this document in order to build my overall picture of the Pediverse. Supposedly, what I have in front of me is an "edited version", since the first release, no word of a lie, included the uncensored identities of actual minors. From how the drama was described on Tumblr and X.com, it seems this somewhat undermined the author's claim to be acting in the best interests of children. As opposed to, perhaps the esoteric laws of counter-degeneracy and online moral warlordism.

The doc opens with Ezra's face pics, aliases and place of residence. I'm not convinced by the author's lofty claims, if this is the worst material they can get their hands on. One thing I noticed immediately was the promotion and intent-reading of "pro-c" as a label for some individuals documented in the screen grabs. This, along with appeals to the simple presence of minors on a website, I interpret as clutching at straws, i.e. putting together the two "worst" things they actually found. Here, we had an early sign the document would contain very little in the way of cultism, grooming, indoctrination, etc evidence, and plenty of the author's own conjecture.

Something else I noticed (in Deadwing Dork's video,[1] based on this document) was the emphasis on members of oddballs.online and other Pediverse instances giving out reciprocal validation, as is common in Tumblr-type communities and censored fandoms. Validation discourse understandably tends to be very common within communities experiencing mid-to-high levels of dissonance and doubt over their identities - in other words anti-c, neutral-c and/or egodystonic communities. The "in-between" MAPs who are not Virpeds, but not entirely syntonic, tend to go for this "ironic fiction" type culture, as a way of being pro-c, but with a refrain; an alibi. I see this grey zone as being a crucial part of the MAP rights narrative, with irony and fiction being the key that unlocks the door before future gains are made.

After browsing the site myself, it became obvious this was more of a neutral/anti-c type site than a pro-c one, as presented by the claims. Not only were these peoples' actual views far milder than in PCMA, but they were far less serious about getting things done politically. It is a space for "playing with ideas" that might be considered deviant and taboo. The fact this anti-c/neutral-c fiction community was also operating on the clear web would appear to suggest to me that evidence of obvious grooming/cultism/indoctrination will be particularly hard to find for whoever gave themselves the godforsaken task of mounting the case against Oddballs. This would be for the very simple reason, that most of the site's users would deem this type of behavior to be "creepy" or "uncool" before actually engaging in it themselves.

So before fully scrolling through this document, I am left with the distinct impression the author claiming to expose this network will just be documenting "cringe personalities", and his reaction to them. At the time of writing, it should be noted oddballs.online remains live, and it appears has not been negatively impacted by this controversy.

Undeterred, I push on, and go through this document.

After starting with nothing more than a vaguely fandom-like introduction to the instance, Ezra's fluffy personality and anti-anti convictions, the document does not exactly wait to evidence its author's true intentions:

Considering we have contact with his family, including his underage niece's mother, we will truly see if his family allows him to create a sex ring.

Nice! Not too bad, and yourself?

We are then immediately called upon to scorn the outrage that is Ezra's use of BoyChat, apparently a place that "victimizes young boys", and where users "can contact children". Not so fast. In my experience, BoyChat is a site that has not only been online for three decades, but is sometimes insufferably rules-driven. On BoyChat, any attempt of a new user to present themselves as a minor is immediately neutralized by a mixture of skepticism and ridicule from its regular crew of jaded Gen X and Boomers, who since the demise of the NAMBLA Bulletin go to this site (where sharing of images is strictly forbidden) to vocalize their frustrations, not to satisfy them.

Following this feeble distraction, we learn that Ezra, the evil leader of a fandom instance has fantasies about animals(!) This is hardly surprising or unusual, and serves no purpose in evidencing grooming, so I don't see where this fits into the author's narrative. We then see messages validating Adult Attracted Minors, and cameo appearances of some supposed AAMs themselves. A person from another instance then gives advice to minors on how to get around "age verification" if they want to view sex cartoons, by taking advantage of the amazing fact that hentai is basically legal to pedal at minors, because no one except for prudes actually cares. We then segue into a selection of sex-positive fantasies and hypotheticals in which young people either get a sex education, get a sex education, or perhaps have some kind of citizenship rights. Correct; no grooming here, move along.

The doc then goes on to demonstrate these dastardly smut-hucksters are exploiting a loophole. You see, they are categorically distinguishing the activities of Pediverse from the trading of CP! It highlights replies that interpret those laws as oppressive. As evidence of what, I don't know, but apparently not their being violated by the wrong opinions.

Now almost half way through the document, and I am actually growing frustrated. No grooming, no illegal activity, just mildly egodystonic people awkwardly and furtively dabbling in paraphilic infantilism and cooing at each other over how "like, totally heckin valid" they are. What case is being proven here? More precisely, whose case?

Next up, the author (it appears) attempts "conversation" with Ezra, tries to lay the bait and embarrassingly gets both hands bitten off. Why they feel the need to advertise their ineptitude in this manner, I don't know. Four whole pages wasted, and they got nothing. Zilch, just their own overlaid cope comments trying to conjure a silver-lining by mind reading the person who should be billing them for their time.

As we roll on towards the bitter end, it is revealed that a supposed biastophile, aptophile, zoophile, necrophile (his currency varies) "Dave", himself Newgon-famous, is living his best life on the mod team! He gains the ultimate distinction of being the based troll screaming through the author's screen, that in any event, this pursuit has no meaning, because he, its target, has no meaning. Thanks, I guess! Why the author of the doxx didn't just quote Dave out of context for the fun of it, I don't know. But we're drawing to a close now, so perhaps this is a sign of resignation on their part?

The document ends with more unsophisticated trolling, more irony and the horror of an anti-c who believes in "nuance" and "harm reduction". Just for good measure, the author throws in a few screens of themselves coping over the instance's host, Frantech asking for evidence of, you know, actual illegal activity.

In summary, this document has reminded me why Fediverse is cringe, and actually needs an injection of normies to become less so. But where are the signs of grooming or indoctrination? Where is the "sex ring", whatever that is? My time has been wasted.

Antis such as this fool appear to do themselves a great disservice by promoting the work of their enemies. In so doing, they fail to inspire any action whatsoever against these type of communities. From a PR/cultural perspective (if they actually had one), the prospect of fueling unintended pedo normalization should be the first cockpit warning light for the hunters. But I feel they really don't care; they rather just enjoy the thrill of the chase and moral grandstanding.

Antis: learn how to pick your battles, or out yourself as an imbecile.

Cultism/grooming and indoctrination in the present MAP community

It is highly unlikely an information frontier such as this would function in such a way, given the clear web is a very conspicuous mode of communication.

Most of the edginess we see is fantasy roleplay - this is consistent with peoples' motivations for taking part in an identity-driven frontier community such as this.

While the case against Oddballs and the wider Pediverse has to be dismissed with extreme prejudice, NNIA, owing to its internal problems and pattern of disruption, needs looking at holistically.

NNIA/Lecter - A cult?

Only my former moderator has surveilled this community in any considerable depth, over a longer period of time, so I am relying to some extent on his research. I know from my own dabbling in the NNIA community, that this evidence represents the very worst of that instance, which is generally characterized by sedate, identity-driven discourse. But he has found what I cannot deny is an unusually large minority of hostile interactions, and by that I mean the kind of "snapping", unwarranted uncivil behavior that would have led to complete disbarment from the 2007 MAP Community.

I get the distinct impression from browsing his screenshots, that some of the identities based around mental illness and social deviance are being employed not for identarian reasons, but to excuse this kind of behavior. And I say that as someone who has very little time for online drama; the idea that I would attempt to initiate drama or conflict over good-faith disagreements would be implausible to any person who knows me. Where I have sensed bad faith and "innate hostility" from this group, I have made a point of probing further to confirm that is indeed the case. And that was sadly the case with Lecter and his associates; a mixture of good and bad people projecting a constant signal of bad faith.

Despite having since seen numerous former members describe the MAP Tumblr/NNIA Fediverse clique as an actual "cult", I also don't think I would support that characterization at all. This would seem to imply some kind of central planning on Lecter's part, and all we have at this point is disparate hearsay evidence of malicious behavior, and I do admit, clear-cut evidence of its its enablement. There is nothing broad-based, or to suggest Lecter is some kind of master-puppeteer engaged in mind-control as is sometimes claimed by the terminally online among his haters. Nor do I see it as a psy-op by Federal Agents, although this I'm sad to say, is based solely on his network's diminutive size and lack of success. I would consider its direction on the other hand to roughly mirror the trajectory of an ideal Fed Operation on our topic - in other words, make MAPs look just as bad as is humanly possible. A threat, in need of containment.

I can also easily see how 5 or 6 years ago, in the heyday of anti-c, a person offering leadership, a solid ethical framework and hours of their own time every day might have achieved a cult following among Paraphiles and Tumblr users. I imagine this group were galvanized, "made", even, by the kicking they were taking from all corners, before their own ultimate demise at the hands of the same online "(in)validation-politics" or "validity discourse" they clung so dearly to (and in fact still do). I can also see why such a personality might have subsequently lost his following due to social media censorship and cumulative social discredit - something very important, inevitable even, in such groups. Ultimately, when we are dealing with such young demographics, former followers will always end up parting ways ideologically as they mature, slowly diverging and developing their own competing certanties. Even the clique's present iteration (NNIA) can be routinely trusted to complain about itself because it aspires to cult-like dogmatist ends it will never be able to fully define, let alone attain.

Sadistic Personality Disorder better explains some of the behaviors we have witnessed among the most terminally online of anti-c's

So no, I don't think Lecter is an "abuser". He strikes me as an antisocial person who aspires to be "edgy" in order to validate those traits. Left in need of attention, reaction and control of others' behavior, he selectively deploys social values as a kind of "moral terrorist" to position himself above others. This sometimes goes awry, meaning he gets involved in occasional low-level sociopathic, fandom-anti tier behaviors. Sadism is a factor here, as is antisocial, but these are hardly extraordinary features.

Let's briefly, but not for too long, entertain two common pro-c conspiracy theories concerning anti-c MAPs:

  • "Fed" Theory. Some older members of our community, have upon coming back to it, reacted in shock and suggested it must have been "infiltrated" somehow. If Federal Agents are planning to halt the progress of MAPs by linking them to rape, gore, doxxing, and deep-set mental disturbances, they have been hugely unsuccessful, and indeed unsuccessful for many years. For this theory to work, we would have to be awaiting some kind of mass-media storm, which would seem long overdue given just how much attention has been given to theories such as Pizzagate, and real organizations like O9A.
  • "Anti" Theory. Copy the above; Anti-c MAPs have been utterly incompetent at courting media attention since 2018, so much so, that I have been constantly complaining about their inaction. Yet, it can be interesting to analyze the arguments, language and malicious behavior of extremist "anti-pro-c" MAPs as not being dissimilar to antis themselves. Indeed, there has been some collaboration I will expand on in the claims-analysis. This is obviously not a good look for anti-c's, and one particular concern of mine is "Intelligent Antis" and Federal Agents impersonating malicious anti-c's to drive a premature, inorganic fork to pro-c extremism.

NNIA - In conclusion

From what I can tell, having witnessed the general tone of discussion and internal politics on the NNIA Fediverse instance, this is what characterizes their clique mentality:

  • An emphasis on humorless leadership and language policing. A brand of emotionalistic reasoning rendered dry and predictable as it centers victimhood and suffering.
  • Characterization of the outsiders as too arrogant, privileged and bigoted to handle the "truth".
  • Focus on presumed personal victimhood and philosophical enlightenment of the group members, allowing them to be "edgy" and "antisocial" without consequence or critique. An "(im)purity spiral" if you will.
  • Equation of being woke with being authentic, while ignoring modes of authenticity that don’t align with the group’s values.
  • Constant friendly competitions between group members on who can coin the most radical and woke paraphilia (no irony here, each is an essential identarian "reality", and accompanied by a new flag).
  • Praise for woke statements and mockery for uncool/bigoted statements going hand in hand, dogpiling, scolding and then struggle-sessions for the transgressors.

[List examples of incompetence - Iris not redacting information/openly consorting with antis, lecter leftypol incident, and state that it is important]

What I believe we are seeing is a younger community who (as Lecter once affirmed) have not disavowed "validity discourse". This, as I see it, owes to the rapid expansion of MAP identity due to its alluring deviancy. On the one hand, it's fantastic that young people are adopting the MAP Identity on the basis that all identities can now be deemed "valid". This is what will cause our community and movement to grow, but also what might stop it being such an exceptional place, (in the neutral).

We need to point out these early adopters may be clinging to the MAP identity because they are mentally ill, thus introducing a deviancy amplification effect. Young adopters of the MAP identity have to a much greater degree consciously chosen to "wear" an edgy/obscure identity within the realm of online fiction, and might not experience social invalidation, nor the identity itself in the same way older MAPs do. The "new" MAPs function more like a fandom; instead seeing themselves as part of a perpetual limbo of "freakery", where the chosen aspects of ones personality coexist with those compelled.

There is no "better or worse" model, in my opinion here. For example, I have harshly criticized over-stated and unhelpful Boomer/GenX MAP portrayals of "inescapable struggle" and even "persecution".[22] Neither model, and neither subjectivity should be totally exempt from criticism!

But what can not be denied is these two subjectivities are markedly different; representing different waves of our movement. For the younger group, ideology, identity and victimhood remain internal "games" for them to play at their own discretion, rather than things they feel they have resorted to predominantly "in self-defense", out of compulsion. Younger MAPs' relative lack of interest in the real-world situation of their own people,[23] and (in the case of "Radqueers" of the Oddballs variety) relative deprioritization of MAP struggles in favor of the sometimes obscure. Many of these labels revolve around apparently unprosecuted paraphilias/trans identities one would assume are "valid" by most measures.[24]

The above, I understand to be the reason why these younger anti-c MAPs on Fediverse are seen to engage in a remarkably higher frequency of "anti-tier", "fandom-anti", "validity policing" behaviors against their own, such as doxxing and harassment of "pro-c's". Not only do they have a hierarchy of ideological purity to uphold,[25] but they have the luxury of existing within an almost entirely fictional world, with no (acknowledged) real world consequences apart from doxxing (a forced exit from fiction). In this hollowed-out world, discourse rules, and the human subject is replaced by an abstract system of thoughts, ideas and impulses, whose relative, theoretical "social justice" merit and group-determined "validity" is all that matters.

Recommendations for the community

[We should add a bit here about how the grooming allegations are very unhelpful, as people such as Lecter and Iris likely need to be able to find one another in order to remain functioning and have some outlet. Using these words undermines what they might actually mean, and plays down real examples of victimhood.]

This is not to excuse their own behavior, nor the lack of caution exhibited by the community as a whole, such that Lecter is permitted to run a federated instance bang in the center of the Pediverse, supposedly excused by identarian posturing. "They are sick individuals", so what do we expect? In reality, they, Iris and Lecter are sick and deeply flawed individuals respectively, but not definitively "bad" individuals. Both, particularly Lecter are below the (very) low bar of what we consider normative online harassment culture]

[Include recommendations, again for lecter to recuse himself in light of previous behavior, being compromised by a person with clearly malicious behavior. More appropriate leadership will be selected by the community, if possible, a sexual abuse prevention professional and openly identified person to begin the process of professionalizing leadership in MAP communities. Unionize leadership as a possibility - more collective action on operations such as NNIA. Document "anti" approach to taking down instances as one hostile, non-ideal solution that has nevertheless failed for NNIA, who seem to have developed a boychat-like relationship with their domain registrar. Meantime, call for users not to sign up for NNIA while said leadership is in place]

ETA in light of this documentary research, Newgon will be introducing an "extreme caution" category in its Pedi advice, and downgrading NNIA from "compromised" (despite what our research has found) on the basis that for anti-c's the instance is probably as safe as any other, but the instance must be treated with caution by neutral/pro-c's and people with compromising pasts. Individuals certainly need to be treated with caution.

Analysis of claims

Claims presented on MAP Wiki

This appendix analyses the various claims made by parties including the above-mentioned clique, and others. In most cases "Newgon" refers to me, as I, Jim Burton, am the editor in question. However, the name "Newgon" has been lazily ascribed to entities beyond myself or the organization itself, most prominently, PCMA and its members who I financially supported before 2024.

Sunk-cost fallacy: NNIA's claims

What motivated the claims made by the MAP Tumblr clique?

Due to the quasi-religious nature of the above mentioned group, some of their criticisms will carry less weight than those from other sources. As they all span from what is in essence a deliberately instigated campaign of defamation by two people (Lecter and Iris/Chronic), they remain fundamentally similar in nature, and so will be addressed below in one place. As already mentioned, these accusations are obsessive and deranged in their nature. In sum, they represent a capitulation to the flawed theory of sunk costs, whereby too much energy has been expended defending a given theory to "let go", once alternative evidence has come to light. I have argued that a successful cult-leader would not (in their pomp) feel obliged to chase lost causes in this way, but instead, they would rely on their followers' unquestioning adherence to their dogma. A "validity" sadist, on the other hand might revel in sophistry and distortion as a desperate means of trying to control the behavior of an opponent they perceive as having more platform in one critical area.

The below all refer to claims made, or once made in the MAP Wiki Newgon Copy,[10] unless otherwise stated. While .IS and .org archives are incomplete, I'll try to use what archives are available to properly anchor particular claims at their respective points in time.

False claim: "Offline 2014-2021"

"Newgon" was off-line during the period the MAP Flag was designed.

The false claim[10][26] is one of many that has not been corrected after editors were alerted. It is therefore most likely an attempt to deny Newgon was easily searchable as an archive during the period the 2018 MAP Flag was created (see above and below for controversy). This would be intended to deny the similarity between the 2009 and 2018 rationales (conveniently excluded from their MAP Flag article),[27] among other things. See also - exclusion of ANU archives[15] from another of their articles that repeated our research without credit.

Tendentious claim: "Sex Fascists"

"Newgon" Claims "Anti-Contact People" are "sex fascists".

A tag, or slur "sex fascists" is used at some points in memes documented by Newgon.

In their article on Newgon, MAP Wiki uses the sanitized term "anti-contact people" to refer to such hypothetical "sex fascist" anti-pedophiles we have actively memed or circulated other peoples' memes of. Then, our use of the "SJW" tag on the memes page is criticized - again as a slight against "anti-contact people" in general.

From even the most basic reading of the memes page, and the files MAP Wiki use as sources, it becomes clear that "sex fascist" and other pejoratives are in fact used by myself in reference to people who aggressively denigrate pedophiles, or are otherwise homophobes/racists. In other words, I document memes (both mine and others) that predominantly criticize the invalidation of people such as the editors of MAP Wiki, by such individuals.

To describe this as a generalized attack on "anti-contact people", when your own sources prove the opposite is incredibly cynical and manipulatory, and displays an equivocation of blind hatred and sexual prejudice with negative beliefs on minor-adult sex. Hating pedophiles, or harboring other prejudices is not a necessary expression of being anti-c, something anti-c MAPs should be aware of, and probably are.

False claim: LGBT Entryism

"Newgon" claim "LGBT should be allied with, if not, apart [sic] of Minor-Adult relationships".

This was a bizarre accusation[10] emanating from an early copy (possibly Raccoondude's) of MAP Wiki's article, and betrayed not only NNIA's historical illiteracy, but utter confusion at the time as to what Newgon was, and what it stood for. Confounding Lecter and Iris's tendency towards chasing sunk costs, it has long since been erased, after an embarrassing exchange on MAP Twitter, and it's falseness seemingly dawning on author/s who were perhaps not responsible for it.

Tendentious claim: Unwarranted attacks on CSA survivors

"Newgon" attacked a "CSA survivor" as a "homophobe".

This is a complaint made by Lecter, in response to a Newgon article that described Moira Greyland as a homophobe.[3] He was seemingly not aware of her well-documented homophobia, and how this might have led her to make unsubstantiated accusations against her already long-dead mother when she also happened to be publishing a book.

This was pointed out to Lecter. He continued to dig himself in further, and has perhaps removed or excluded this incident from the MAP Wiki copy because it was badly-judged and embarrassing. Iris's defense pretty much amounts to whataboutery, but retains some surviving screenshots of the incident.[28]

False claim: Baby-sex

"Newgon" fosters a hostile environment for those who disapprove of "sex with babies".

This claim was made by a supposedly "anonymous" ex-"Newgon" member on Lecter's Freak University ask page. One thing that sticks out like a sore thumb, is the "anonymous" commenter's use of "Newgon" in reference to the Yesmap server or PCMA. An actual PCMA member or Yesmap account holder would likely not do this, but let's play fair and not speculate as to who wrote it.[29]

For me, this was the lie that totally confirmed the absence of good faith in this string of attacks. By virtue of its sheer audacious absurdity, it crossed the line into defamation territory. This lie very much followed the anti's playbook, and whoever it came from, it was amplified to all of Lecter's mandatory followers on NNIA - in other words, the "base" for his small-scale propaganda experiment. He then actually defended this absurd lie, after being shown it was categorically false.

If you were a member of the Yesmap server at the time it hosted PCMA, you would have immediately known the claim was false, that this supposed "former member" was full of horse shit.

Nevertheless, already knowing what I would find, I did a basic public-access search of the server anybody with a Yesmap account or public PCMA membership would have been able to do. Mentions of infantophilia, nepi(ophilia), baby play, sex with babies, were very rare. Server members were at best indifferent on the idea of judging non-sadistic fondling of babies in the cultures that permit it.[30] Others didn't want to discuss it, as it appears they found it distasteful; my own theory is they were less well-read on the topic, so reacted viscerally.

If you were not a member of that server on the other hand, all you would have known is this was "meant to be" what "PCMA pedophile ring members were like". This is what made it a "tasty lie", and a malicious one intended to do damage to our server by sowing distrust and suspicion.

Having been sent screencaps of the above mentioned searches on the server and asked to remove the false comment, Lecter, this beacon of poly-paraphiliac tolerance, then went about bigotry-shopping for every single mention of nepiophilia and baby play on NewgonWiki, a site of almost 1,000 articles relating to minor-attraction. In a blog post betraying his lack of education on the subject,[31] he seemed to imply that by documenting these cultural curiousities, I was evidencing a personal interest, or promoting them. This argument is uncannily similar to that we have become familiar with from religious-right antis in their frenzied attempts to attack valid scholarship.

False claim: Malicious behavior

"Newgon" is involved in threats and harassment against Social Media users and Fediverse instances.

The 4 day lapse between a YouTube influencer exposing Pediverse and the suspension of Lolison's domain. Following this, Lecter rushed to inform his 1,000+ default followers that "Newgon" orchestrated their downfall. This was later revealed to be based on nothing but screencap in which I warned one of the instance owners about defamatory conduct, and later, low-quality domain registrars such as Epik. Should the second, well-founded[32] reminder have been heeded, perhaps the largest MAP Fediverse instance would still be live

It is unusual just how long this claim had been around, with absolutely zero corroborating evidence such as simple screencaps from social media - indeed the type of evidence that implicates both the accusers in malicious behavior. This would appear to suggest like many of the criticisms in this article, what we are in fact seeing is projection, or at the very least deflection owing to the accuser's own previous behavior.

But when made against me, it is a claim originally ascribed to Lecter,[3] and I would assume if it had any merit against PCMA, he would have collected material from Twitter or elsewhere by now to prove they were involved in harassment. In 2024, Lecter has received considerable backlash, even from his own instance for pursuing this baseless theory, so expect to see it less often in the future.[33]

To support these theories, Lecter has only just now at the time of writing, uploaded screen caps of two exchanges to MAP Wiki's Newgon hitpiece. These involve myself on Fediverse, and the background is rather comical.[10] The first concerns comments I made about his own instance from my account on Youjo. Other users were incessantly criticizing NNIA for routine perpetuation and toleration of malicious behavior for about the umpteenth time. So I waltzed in and sarcastically (or vainly hoping) told one of them if they really want Lecter's damned instance gone, they may as well report it for illicit material, just like every other anti has doubtless done.

I have been pretty unequivocal (as Iris's subsequent caps show) that in light of NNIA's deliberate targeting and endangerment of MAPs, if others could find some way of removing it from the social landscape, our community would be better-placed to rebuild. This was after I, and many others had asked Lecter to step aside for someone less compromised and better-suited to the job, following the various revelations.

In the second screen-cap I inform the owner of another instance not to repeatedly make false accusations of Nazism against my instance, as these might eventually lead to their registrar being contacted about malicious or defamatory behavior. In this case, the user had (unreported and unbeknownst to me) been provoked by an unwarranted slur that amounted to repeating the obscure name of a transphobic soyjak meme - something that was moderated once it had been calmly pointed out by somebody "in the know". While, in my defense, the infraction was never properly reported, my supposed crime of "not knowing enough about soyjaks", would be a strange take for Lecter, given his views on that matter.[34]

In some cases, individuals repeating the accusations had personal motives for doing so. One such individual who claimed to have been a "victim" of the Yesmap Matrix Server had previously been seen attempting to open a child pornography trading room on said server. This room was shut down after the creator unwittingly invited the server admins before anything could be posted. Lecter, himself completely ignored a 70k-amassing YouTube video focusing on the Fediverse in the wake of the server suspensions he baselessly links to "Newgon".[1]

Iris has also accused me of addressing a tirade of verbal attacks via their blog in 2023.[35] While this could well have been someone on my server, clearly Iris has not infiltrated that server for too long, as the comments, being addressed in their scatter-gun manner, would have been completely out of character for me.

"Newgon" mocked and harassed a Trans Woman who participated in an online chat.

Later added to the MAP Wiki copy by Iris, in this claim, imagined "Newgon Members" mocked a Trans Woman who posted a wall of text, angrily reacting to a wojak meme. While the chat itself (again, PCMA, not Newgon) took action against both the obvious bait and response (her response mentioned the potential for violent retribution, meaning this was necessary), there were indeed later memes mocking the event, although not from "Newgon Members". The abovementioned person involved in this incident later contacted Newgon's Strategic Lead (myself), stating they were having fun and did not consider themselves a victim, but did not wish for the incident to be amplified via MAP Wiki. Their requests for the incident to be removed from MAP Wiki have since been unanswered; we will comply with any requests for removal of material from Yesmap and not link to evidence of the incident.

Tendentious claim: "MAP" origin claims

"Newgon" claims to have originated the term "MAP".

The screencap Lecter failed to doctor to match his copy

In one sense, we initiated the discourse as we know it today. In another, we at least influenced it.

Our research appears to suggest that our future founders and contributors were indeed instrumental in a forking of the term "Minor Attracted Adult" to "Person" in 2007, being the first to do so following use of the "Adult" variant, but not the first coiners. Clearly our research reveals that "MAP" is a variant term, that had seen very minimal use before 2007, when we came in to existence. We would not then be claiming to be the the first coiners of this term.

Aware this was a straw-man of my position on the matter, Lecter naturally set about doctoring a quote, ending up with "We started the whole "MAP" thing" from the bio of a Twitter account I ran. He uploaded this doctored quote to the MAP Wiki article, in what appears to be a deliberate attempt to mislead his followers.[10] Sadly for Lecter, this attempt was undermined after he mistakenly uploaded an unedited screencap of the same Twitter account, without editing out the following words "(kind of)" as he did in his copy.

False claim: Claimed plagiarism against MAP Flag

"Newgon" allegedly made a claim the MAP Flag was "plagiarised" from its own material.

For evidence concerning the controversial and ultimately unproven relationship between Philist's 2009 concept and Stenna's 2018 MAP Flag, see MAP Flag.

Earlier copies of the MAP Wiki article on Newgon would have led the ordinary reader (who unfortunately does not check sources) to conclude I actually claimed the 2018 MAP Flag was derived from my later 2021 variant, designed in two installments (the very first here).

While this clearly appears absurd and conspiratorial to anybody who personally witnessed the conception of the 2018 and 2021 designs, unfortunately, wiki articles are aimed at people who are not "in the know". As can be seen in archives, earlier copies of the MAP Wiki article only displayed my later 2021/22 variants [36] as examples of "Newgon Flags" before quoting me on the 2009 Newgon/Philist concept's similarity to the 2018 flag. This was done without properly acknowledging that I was referring to a graphic they had excluded from their article, and thus gave the very distinct impression I was personally claiming to have designed a predecessor to the 2018 MAP Flag, and perpetuated that lie for a considerable length of time. Whether or not this was an unfortunate error, or intended to build a straw man of me as some hubristic fraudster, I have no idea. In later repetitions of this theory, Lecter has nevertheless gone on to clarify that I am speculating on the visual and rationale similarity between the 2009 concept and later 2018 flag, and not attempting to outright revise history in my own personal favor.[13]

In any event, claiming two very similar designs with similar rationales are related or even might be "copied/adapted" as I speculated, is not accusing anybody of "plagiarism". Newgon permits reuse of its material, including the 2009 flags, and this link is displayed on every page of our Wiki to erase all doubt. As documented in our MAP Flag article, the 2018 designer granted any future artist permission to modify and use their work, pretty much summing up how symbology development is discursive. This shouldn't have to be explained to people who have designed literally 1,000s of flags,[37] including none less than Lecter himself. Outside of making claims to intellectual property, a flag designer has no control over who uses their work, and how.

To cap this all off, if you are really willing to go through the thousands of new flags[37] designed by NNIA members, including the author Lecter himself, you will find something interesting. You will find designs that expanded upon both modern Newgon concepts such as the 2021 variant[38] and five-bar Yesmap Flag,[39] and also some of the better concepts within the 2009 flag competition itself.[40] Am I now in the right to claim plagiarism against them?

False claim: MAP Flag "contrast version"

"Newgon" referred to the 2018 flag as a "contrast version" of the 2009 graphic.

I used the terms "contrast" and "on-screen" (seen in the MAP Wiki cited archive[41]) to refer to the graphical qualities and not the relative status of two flags. Seen in multiple revisions - this one, 8 April 2022, 12.33

This is in an of itself a rather banal misunderstanding, except for the fact that it was never removed from the MAP Wiki article, despite repeated correction on Fediverse. As can be seen right, I used the term "contrast" to refer to the graphical qualities of two files, both mine and the 2018 flag, on which I had performed minor repairs. Given it obviously does not describe the relationship of the 2018 graphic to the 2009 (despite the probability they are related), what is the point of continuing to push this lie? The answer is most probably that it was intended as a provocative lie all along, to contribute to some developing false image of myself as hubristic (expanded upon in the next section).

False claim: "United" MAP Flag

"Newgon" allegedly conceiving the name "United MAP Flag".

The relative attention given by NewgonWiki to MAP Wiki and vice versa in named articles

This is perhaps one of the most insane and conspiratorial of lies, because you have to ask yourself why it even matters whether it's true or false. Who cares? Who would care, even? The answer is, it does matter to the person who is telling the lie, for reasons that might not at first be obvious.

In 2021, as described above, I designed and published (on Matrix and Newgon) a rather simple graphic for a "2021 MAP Flag", designed to combine the characteristics of the 2018 graphic (associated with NOMAPs) and the 2009 proposal (little-known and associated with pro-c's). It came in faded (linked above) and contrast versions, with and without anti-alias, and improved on the somewhat-out, garish color balance of its predecessor. My contrast version of the graphic was darker and sharper than the washed out one, and came to predominate in my copy.

I subsequently made an edit to NewgonWiki's MAP Flag article explaining that my intention was for this graphic, the "2021 version" to be used as a "united MAP Flag" (my exact use of capitals)[42] I also attached the new graphic to the Memes and Graphics page, again explaining how it differed from the original version and used it throughout the site on templates. I promoted the graphic on Twitter.com, halfheartedly, as a "2021 variant" MAP Flag.

In 2023, I was approached privately by Katie Cruz, owner of the online merchandising venture MAP Merch Shop. She explained how her shop might benefit from a placement on NewgonWiki, which is known to be relatively high-traffic for a pro-MAP site. She offered, kindly and unconditionally to sell some products based on prominent material from my site. I thanked her, but was lukewarm on the idea of placing any prominent advertising, as it was obvious her shop used dropshipping, a major operational security flaw that might expose her customers to data theft and potential outing. Should that system cause a later controversy (spoiler: it did), I might never be able to live it down. I told her simply, that Newgon was not a commercial site, but what I could do is create encyclopedia articles on both her and her venture if she was willing to help me with them. This is the solution that was agreed upon. Katie has been active within the community for approaching 20 years, and is "notable" in any event, so creating the two articles was a small matter of time allocation. This was something I completed later that year.

A "Newgon" category was created on MAP Merch Shop (alongside numerous others, owing to the ease of using third-party manufacturers for online merchandise). It featured copies of my 2021 flag design on various items of merchandise - mugs and t-shirts for example.[43] Within this set of merchandise, Katie used the term "United Version" MAP Flag to describe the graphic,[44] it seems naively - ahead of my own preferred "2021 MAP Flag". She also used this naming convention, perhaps foolishly on pediverse when describing the products. I understand, but did not fully observe, that this caused some controversy, along with other objections to the security of her site and its payment processing.

Following this, a section suddenly appeared on what was by then entirely Lecter and Iris's MAP Wiki article on Newgon, asserting incorrectly that I had "named" or by some imagined act of fiat "renamed" this graphic the "United MAP Flag".[45] I pointed this out to Lecter, and provided the very links in this article - links to the initial file uploads of the 2021 variant to prove my point. But as has become characteristic for him, he would not remove the claims, and continued to push the lie. As a vendor on no less than MAP Merch Shop itself, he was also well positioned to know it was a lie, and to know the source of the naming convention.[43] Given the tiny distinction between rationalization and naming (I don't dispute that I first rationalized the 2021 flag as a unifying symbol; I'm an optimist) one has to wonder why he has been so adamant pushing this lie in various copies of his article and through social media activities.

At first I believed this was a basic straw-man attempt to tar me, again, as "hubristic", as in:

"LOOK at my opponent - he has the audacity to claim he was uniting OUR community!"

But given he still hasn't stopped spreading this garbage around his instance/blog/wiki,[13] right under the nose of those who saw how it really happened, I can only guess it is a mildly sadistic attempt at controlling or influencing another person's actions.

This is how I came to such a conclusion; see for example, the pair's multiple gloating references in said article to "changes" or "corrections" I have allegedly made "in response to pushback". These all describe either regular editing churn, concessions to balance or discourse development, not the revision of facts. By using ones platform to push a lie or distortion that is so absurd for so little gain and for so long, you in effect show that you are willing do the same again, should your opponent even present you with the slightest opportunity to take their words out of context. This is a well-established psychological manipulation strategy of permanently-online political pressure groups.

Also, given the relatively small platform of MAP Wiki vis a vis Newgon, I can only speculate this is an attempt at asymmetric warfare. It's been interesting and amusing to watch, up to a point. The psychology here certainly deviates toward the unhealthy and validates to some extent, Lecter's lofty claims of being a sadist, but I will be willing to proceed no further down this particular rabbit hole by means of repeating the obvious to his remaining followers.

False claim: Fascism

"Newgon" promotes racist/ethnonationalist discourse.

This claim was originally made against the Memes and Graphics page, which aims to reflect a wide array of MAP discourse, but also made it to baseless claims about PCMA.[46] The project has succeeded in this regard, and its content has not been revised in light of these false claims, nor the flawed idea that documenting a meme is endorsing it. When I checked the page for balance in 2022 and 2023, I discovered that it documented a considerably larger amount of anti-western and anti-reactionary material, but not exclusively so.

What is perhaps most revealing about the attacks on this page, is the implicit assumption that those with an opposing viewpoint can not be acknowledged, let alone worked with in any way. Newgon considers intellectual diversity to be fundamental to the progress of young civil rights movements in particular.

It soon became obvious from various statements I made, that I considered the content of our memes index reflective of MAP discourse, and would not revise it considerably. At this point, lo and behold, random preaching statements suddenly started appearing on the MAP Wiki article for Newgon. One such comment deliberately misrepresents statements I had made in an essay, interpreting them as fascist-adjacent.[10] What purpose these comments serve, other than misleading uncritical readers, I don't know. The interpretation is either deliberately false, or falls embarrassingly short of reflecting my approach to that essay, and its conclusions.

It is also claimed the term "primitive" (an ethnological staple referring to any preliterate, non-industrial society) is "racist". Aside from being quite clearly defined in non-racist terms, we sometimes use it in place of "indigenous", which usually refers to an extant native population. Much of the ethnological data on indigenous populations, was collected at a point in time they were relatively untouched by Western civilization, indeed preliterate, and apparently tended towards some sexual practices present-day indigenous people might no longer wish to be associated with.

Further comments (in Lecter's defense, these appear to be added by Iris), seem to reveal one of them has infiltrated PCMA and screen-capped chats in which some of its non-Newgon members participated. They then go about "deconstructing" various forms of prejudice and assumptions the chat participants succumbed to, falsely labelling them Newgon members. For example, they described a mentally-ill, institutionalized PCMA user as:

Antisemitic, philosemitic, conspiratorial, promoting spurious myths about Jewishness and CSA, and anti-Palestinian—all at once!

In the screencap,[10] the user so-described, simply advises other members not to meddle in Arab-Israeli politics, i.e. not to publicly come down on the side of Palestine. This, believe it or not, is one of his saner moments, since he is well known on the server for experiencing repeated visions of menacing physical invalids. "Cripples" in his words, harrow him most weeks; their number and frequency a sign his persecutors are closing ranks on him! Iris, on the other hand appears to be projecting its own[47] troubling hallucinations, mooing in frustration as it combs over the words of another mentally-tortured being. But it appears even the embarrassing wall-of-text that resulted wasn't enough for it to be quietly given the talk by its superiors, and moved swiftly on to graze fresh pasture.

Apart from this, MAP Wiki's best "evidence" was uncovering the fact that some of PCMA's members are anti-Zionists (I could have told them that one) and recalled with humor some absurd comments made by racists who got banned in the process. Individuals who I (as host at the time) do not even recognize, given around 1,000 messages go through the server every day, and how swiftly they were dealt with. Alternatively, Iris alleges PCMA had an aggressively fascistic Israeli member who resorted to posting Israeli MAP Flags. This was in fact a parody/comedy account set up by the regular troll member, Mappymeal.[10] Other individuals who posted racist memes such as MAP Flag edits, seem to have appeared, then left the chat as soon as they came. I asked my former moderator about three of their names (again, completely unfamiliar to me) and he couldn't find them in either of the present groups, suggesting they were either banned, or disappeared and never became regulars.

But ultimately, the norm while I was in charge of the server was exactly as reflected above. In other words, to ban the racists you would expect to infiltrate from servers such as Midov on sight. If anything, we did this because they were obnoxious and their grievances had no bearing on the purpose of the group. The norm since I left as admin/mod appears to be the same, but with a drift towards the heterodox.

So you could say the infiltration and disruption attempts did succeed in making a group more factional and less efficient at organized activism. This is one of the major factors behind my disablement of the Yesmap Matrix Server. That it was too open, had no controls against disruption, so as an activist group, it was like painting a massive target on our backs.

But when I think about it, these PCMA members spend way longer on that server than I do. The drift towards debate-bro political discourse is understandable in light of the disruption attempts in 2023, self-identified "woke" MAPs behaving like assholes towards this group and undermining its productivity. Repeatedly outraging reactionary hiveminds was the one thing PCMA was doing to the benefit of Tumblr MAPs, and ironically the one thing these sour-faced Tumblr-rejects successfully prevented it from doing. But, hey, at least they got to clench their fists and look righteous!

There now seems to be more of a tolerance for edgy and ironic racial humor, the sort you would sadly expect when a group becomes more heterodox, discursive, over-politicized and loses its primary purpose. Would the new independent PCMA host debates with a "civil" racist? I don't know, but it seems a lot more likely now, than it ever was in my own spell as host. But worry not; the Tumblrites got their badman!

The examples Iris is referring to are far from gotchas, and aspiring members of the new "political" PCMA servers, particularly the "unofficial" Nekos room should be warned they will probably see far worse. White, Christian, Black, Jew or Gentile, you WILL be offended, and WILL be expected to thoughtfully defend political aspects of your identity and history. If you lose your cool and have an angry outburst, you may well be kicked out, as this is now the internal culture of PCMA as a group.

Heterodox political philosophies as part of Newgon.

In some cases, there are examples of Newgon members and former members introducing ideas that problematize some assumptions of orthodox radicalism in civil rights movements. We also plan to publish a research article on right-wing support for Minor Attracted People, their political causes, and MAPs of the right.

Our founder, Dan Lievre has suggested that identity politics as we broadly understand it is a luxury bestowed upon already assimilated minorities, and is thus unsuitable for a fully fledged liberationist/civil-rights movement. I describe these people as "otherkin", forgoing use of the term for genuinely invalidated and non-assimilated minorities. I argue that official narratives of radicalism within civil rights movements play into the hands of present day elites, by portraying a misleading hagiography of radical activism. I have provided cynical analysis of hierarchies, but call for a socially progressive movement to work within the confines of my model, including the embrace of radical philosophies.[48] I am skeptical towards "Anarchism" in its present manifestation, describing it as a "grief faction", and having been usurped by signalling.[49]

I have always been up-front about my Yesmap server's lack of political favoritism. This means we will tolerate participants with competing worldviews such as Men's Rights, Inceldom, Feminism, Socialism, Anarchism, etc.

Tendentious claim: "Pro choice" a novel initiative

"Newgon" attempted to change the "c" in "pro-c".

In another episode of "Who cares anyway?", it is claimed that "Other Newgon initiatives include trying to rename "pro contact" to "pro choice"". MAP Wiki again used a diff of our Pro-c article as "evidence", ignoring the fact it made room for three alternative terminologies. When we saw this, we did some research and subsequently pointed out an apparent adoption of "pro-choice" by MAPs in a book by Allyn Walker. This was published months before our site even reopened to editors in 2021; we then even discovered its use in various essays documented in the pro-c article.

So in 2021, we did indeed change our article; to reflect the fact that some inside MAP discussion groups preferred the alternative versions, as it later appeared, did those interviewed by Walker.

MAP Wiki's editorial error, however small was never admitted. The claim is still there at the time of writing, conflicting obtrusively with the updated information about MAPs already using (or preferring) the terminology in Allyn Walker's book. This again suggests that a false claim sits too nicely within the narrative of the article to revise in good faith.

The entire episode is symptomatic not only of some anti-contact MAPs' historical illiteracy, but their obsession with controlling language - even insisting others obey their orders and use potentially incriminating language such as "pro-contact".

Perhaps another telling piece of mental gymnastics in one version[50] of the MAP Wiki article follows:

Newgon also claimed to be "anti-offending", which possibly means anti-forceful contact, however, "anti-offending" is typically used in contact discourse synonymously with "anti contact".

I assume at this point the idea of opposing all lawbreaking on principled grounds, regardless of whether or not one is pro-c is simply beyond these people. Much like the idea people who hate and invalidate pedophiles are not merely "anti contact", but cunts who deserve to be ridiculed?

The concept of an anti-offending pro-c has existed long before the toes of blue-haired anti-c pedophiles even touched the purple grass of Tumblr.com. Indeed, while some groups such as PIE faced legal troubles, to most of our earliest ancestors, illegalism was an approach that simply made no sense. David Thorstad, for example, prided himself on his clean record at the end of his decades long career as a pederast activist.[51]

False claim: Newgon's threatening "post card" to ZeebDemon

"Newgon" posted a threatening "post card" hard-copy to a Fediverse user.

This one, I have just learned about via an unhinged Fediverse rant of Iris, MAP Wiki editor, and the person who everybody assumes is responsible for the incident.[35] I ("Newgon", so I assume me) was actually aware of the incident at the time it happened, but did not even recall who the alleged victim was until I was forced to look into it after the above accusation.

Fediverse has way too much drama between people half my age, and I simply don't have the time for the kind of drama mentioned above. I rarely even understand what these fandom kids are ranting on about when they try to "harm" one another, so no, I certainly haven't been "recalling" this incident personally if its words (and it's hard to tell) apply to me. My gathering is that:

  • Iris had been semi-credibly accused of carrying out this very action in the first place due to:
  • Its name being used on the letter,
  • General mental illness and history of malicious conduct against MAPs.

But this is Fediverse - people are immature and spend hours speculating, including setting up mentally troubled people like Iris for "lulz". Since this is Fediverse, whoever's speculation is most popular "wins" and is telling the "truth". Of course, as Fediverse users, we are permanently-online. We have to believe something, so let's believe an unfalsifiable lie! After all, that will provide us with more "drama".

To address the personal accusation, I do not even want to know anyone on Fediverse well enough to have their physical address so I can be a fanpol-tier psycho. I'm physically disabled, have limited screen time and don't have the will to engage in these endless dramas. If it is indeed personally aimed at me, this is such a dreadful misreading of character that it requires no further rebuttal!

False claim: "Newgon" "stochastically misgendered" ZeebDemon

If you don't know their gender, don't casually use the neutral "they" pronoun![10]

Lecter (in his phase identifying as Larva) scrambling to find evidence of "bigotry" as it becomes obvious the pronoun policing attempt ended up back-assward. Note the name "Jamal" is used in reference to my pseudonym

Part 2 of the ZeebDemon series. Newgon was said to have used the "they" pronoun correctly, but somehow in bad faith when referring to YAP-influencer and baiter of Elon Musk, ZeebDemon. Lost for words to describe what the hell I have done wrong, I can only coin the phrase "stochastic misgendering" to describe it.

It is wrongly argued that I would have no way of knowing ZeebDemon or their preference for she/they pronouns, despite having mutually followed on social media, under the noses of none less than MAP Wiki's editorial team. ZeebDemon had also been a member of the Yesmap Server, where they likely learned about the Youth Attracted Person fork before (independently) hatching their famous YAP Flag post on Alice Day.

It is quite comical that despite getting their pronoun (they) right in my copy, I was still criticized by MAP Wiki for using a neutral pronoun for someone they later admitted to wrongly believing exclusively used the feminine. In other words, they had the idea that I "must be wrong" in their heads, but when it transpired I was in fact right, they then decided I still had "no proper business being right". Orwellian bullcrap!

After the pronoun-policing bungle had been revealed by way of MAP Wiki's personal communication with ZeebDemon, the average hack would just delete the passage and forget it ever happened. But not MAP Wiki. The gift that keeps on giving, kept giving, sunk cost after sunk cost.

This also begs the question - if you do not know a person's preferred pronouns, what pronouns can you even use if a neutral pronoun is a microaggression, misgender, or whatever neo-bigotry the clique is accusing you of?

False claim: "Newgon" linked three "transphobic screeds"

This false claim was made[10] during an unnecessary rollercoaster of whataboutery over articles linked in Transgender youth and attraction to minors. In particular, the article by living author Bill Andriette was written before Trans rights became a political issue and contains zero discussion of the topic, let alone "transphobic screed".[54] If the Wiki Editor themselves does not read the documents they cite, what does that say about their quality-control and ability to write dispassionately? Perhaps that they already know how they are going to use a source?

The suggestion that I myself am "transphobic" (this is repeated uncritically in some parts of Pediverse) is patently absurd, as there does not even exist any material that might be interpreted as ambiguous on that matter.[55] I also happen to support the right of young people to change gender at or around the beginning of puberty, using drugs to halt its progress after proper assessment and exhaustion of all options with qualified professionals. I have collected research demonstrating the ability of young people to give informed consent from around that age.

At this time PCMA are aware of deeply transphobic MAPs (I personally banned the worst among them during my time running it). This is clearly a big part of the MAP community outside of NNIA - and goes far further than the mildly hostile opinions of some BoyChat users. The MAP space and identity is clearly highly polarized on the gender topic, with huge numbers of transsexuals and transphobes mirroring the masculinst/third-gender split in the early German Homosexual Movement.

False claim: Newgon is Anti-Paraphilia

As the only Newgon member to whom this trope is assigned,[10] I can categorically say this one is false. Beyond simply being skeptical of Paraphilia as a scientific concept, it is alleged I display hostility towards self-identified paraphilic individuals, on the basis of their paraphilias. This is, again, a deliberate falsehood.

In a series of screencaps where it is seemingly trying too hard to find examples of bigotry, the eagle-eyed Iris found a few screenshots where I question the usefulness (beyond trolling or disruption) of some paraphilic labels, including one based on the deliberately provocative idea that it's "hot to groom kids". Responding to the coiner (in kind; a known troll), and counter to the (expected) validation discourse, I try to pour cold water on the idea by using an emoji to invoke the idea "grooming-based" identity labels are "glow-ops", i.e. sponsored by American Federal Agents to seed propaganda in politically dissident groups.

Clearly, anybody with the most basic reading of online discourse would be able to distinguish the "validity" of non-contact rape, or grooming-based labels for an individual, from their usefulness as broader civil rights tools for marginalized groups such as MAPs. For example in this essay, I explain how at an individual level, linking minor-attraction to rape impulses might be somewhat more harmful than linking it to fascism, as the existence of an occasional political extremist inside a community can be easily dismissed. This, I state, is in spite of the material harmlessness of experiencing violent impulses that can not be acted upon ethically. It is also in spite of the social harmfulness of an entire identity group being associated with fascist ideology.

This is again, another example of premeditated bigotry-shopping, since who exactly would fail to make the above distinctions, except for an anti? The only other examples I can find are Iris recalling as "paramisia" where I list its Zoosadist and Biastophilic paraphilia in a matter-of-fact way to profile it. This is exactly what Iris does in its own online profiles.[11] Where a person has already committed malicious acts, these kind of personal features are very apt in building a profile, and establishing motive - especially where their targets are individuals whose apparent "crime" was believing their own desires could be acted upon ethically. One example this calls to mind is where (self-identified sadistic, psychopathic, sociopathic) MAP Wiki editors go about critiquing as "ableist", what are simple and evidence-based attempts to distinguish pedophilia from psychopathy.

If listing a person's paraphilia and pathologies is stochatsic terrorism, then Iris is a serial suicide bomber.

False claim: Newgon is Anti-Radqueer

This is another claim[10] of MAP Wiki, that appears to span from dishonesty, or otherwise a complete inability to read irony in social media comments.

The term "Radqueer" refers in a roundabout way to the community based around the Oddballs Fediverse instance already described, and other connected instances such as rqd2.net. This is a group that describes itself as inclusive of pro-c MAPs, and is characterised by unlimited use of microlabels, transids[56] and undefined use of irony; representing the evolution from NOMAP thru Anti-contact/Neutral-c to the so-called "radically queer" or "radically inclusive".

In the described incident, I notice the owner of radqueer.net (kind of a Radqueer "home" page with a small phpBB and a Wiki I have made a few edits to) has made a sarcastic comment about "stealing" the Newgon.net domain (formerly the NewgonWiki home) to make its not very radqueer content more "based". I then mock them over the lack of editing on said Wiki, something they have previously commented about.[57] Responding with the actual line from a famous meme associated with old men trying to look "hip", I pitch the idea their group should focus less on identity and more on social invalidation to make itself feasible as a political movement, presenting this halfheartedly as "free advice". I exit character and explain more to two participants who take the bait; after all, despite the assholing, the actual idea of mobilizing social invalidity is a serious one. Any sense of irony was (I assume) completely lost on Iris, who referred to the entire interaction in a completely po-faced manner, presenting me as a wicked archetype-carousel "baddie", "hating on Radqueers" or something along those lines. Later, with fists firmly clenched, it attempts to mind-read "what I think of Radqueers" in a series of (trite, mostly inaccurate) clichés, the indignant lack of self-awareness now amounting to a comedy in and of itself.

False claim: Newgon is antifeminist

This criticism, which appears to come from NNIA and MAP Wiki[10] is based on cherry-picked articles and memes featured or linked on NewgonWiki, a website nearing 1,000 articles. Our article on Feminism displays a sensible and facultative approach, based upon simple statements different feminists have made about MAPs and MAP issues (positive and negative). The MAP Wiki article, again sadly appears to become a prejudiced rant/wall of text by Iris alone. In its vain attempts at conjecture, it totally ignores the primary purpose of NewgonWiki as an encyclopedic information resource. In other words, to describe a subject matter (such as the many theorists we have profiled) rather than engage with it positively or present a manifesto.

It is understandable that much of the MAP meme stock and commentary is critical of anti-sex Feminists, even Feminsts in general, as this is one group (abetted by reactionaries and moderate liberals) that has been highly active in stigmatizing MAPs.

Tendentious claim: "Newgon" is "ableist"

"Newgon" shows support for discrimination on the basis of ability.

Newgon is an informational resource - a clearinghouse for information and ideas. When we do formulate "official positions" or express an editorial slant, we often take into account the pragmatic and strategic constraints of a given situation - particularly with respect to advising our readers and setting out a concrete agenda. This may require that initial political demands are moderated in order to take account of the prevailing concerns in wider society. We feel this approach can make a policy more feasible, without compromising the underlying philosophical angle.

The following aspects of our ethos were cited[10] as "ableist":

This is because the proposed basic assessment of competence might in some rare circumstances lead to the advice that minors above the age of 12 and below the age of majority are not emancipated. This would be in the event they are deemed to be significantly below the mental age of their peers due to intellectual impairment. In essence, we are relaxing, but in some ways maintaining a law that discriminates on age, and creating a temporary "safeguard" for more profound mental impairments or developmental problems. This is:

a) To address people's concerns about such impairments, and to moderate our own demands. b) "Ableist" only in the sense that existing consent/intellectual competence laws are ableist, including those concerning "vulnerable adults". c) "Ableist" only in the sense that existing social norms on minor-adult sex are ableist, including those typically supported by Tumblr Anti-c's (capacity to consent, imbalance of power, etc). d) Therefore not philosophically based in "ableism" to any greater degree, but reducing the practice of both ageism and ableism by finding a middle-ground.

The substance of our argument, if the reader cares to go over it, is that linking consent to cognitive capacity is tenuous at best, regardless of what the law says. Unfortunately, however successfully we have made this argument in scholarly publications, it's still a very hard sell at the macro/mass-media/lawmaking level.

An example of some of the banter-level nonsense that must persist on pediverse due to the deliberate spreading of misinformation

The following aspects of our editorial were cited as "ableist":

  • Agitation against the previously sterile discourse on Pedophilia OCD, namely by meming the concept (see in article) and promoting said meme on Twitter.

In penning and promoting this meme, I sought to lobby for the abolition of the diagnosis and/or partially replace it with more appropriate label/s. This might be interpreted as "ableist" by some of our more fervent opponents from around the Fediverse, as it can be interpreted as "denial of lived experience" or "social erasure" - a form of subtle stochastic terrorism against a minority.

This would be as nonsensical for instance, as stating that a scientist who questions the conceptual validity of discrete racial categories is advocating for the "erasure" of people who define themselves by their ethnicity.

For more "ableist" charges, see the section where I actually upheld a claim made on MAP Wiki (namely that Newgon does not correlate pedophilia and psychopathy), albeit strongly rejecting the idea we perpetuated ableism by doing that.

Tendentious claim: "Newgon" is "assimilationist"

"Newgon" assumes the dominant values of society in order to make MAPs appear more "acceptable".

These criticisms are often made by those who appear to be engaged in clear values-based assimilationism themselves, including Lecter, his orbiters and some neutral or pro-c's who amplify their talking points.

Newgon is right on the edge of what is considered "acceptable" discourse outside of academia, and sometimes even inside. The underlying concept is to use text as a medium to provoke critical thought by pushing the boundaries as far as reasonably possible. This allows others to organically make arguments that are perhaps more, and perhaps less adventurous than our own limited set of demands. Part of this equation involves defending ourselves from unprincipled attacks, e.g. attempts to portray us as conspiracy theorists. So rushing to accuse your opponent of "assimilationism" as a strategy is often premature, as it does not take in to account the broader context. I covered some of this territory in my recent essay, MAPs, Paraphiles and Fascists.

The philosophical positions of Newgon members, to the extent that we even agree on them, are not assimilationist and tend towards the radical and integrationist. We tend to believe that over 1/4 of men might be hebephilic, not that hebephilia is "inherently superior", say to a paraphilia.

Newgon was actually co-founded by a pedophile, and has a binding position on declassification of pedophilia - something no other organization we are aware of has even entertained in the past. Of course, the one non-binding position on the Age of Consent/License could be deemed "assimilationist" in that its rationale takes account of public concerns. Any demand standing a chance of success in a peace-time situation must take account of public voting concerns, and is therefore inherently assimilationist to some degree.

It can be disconcerting for radical civil rights activists to learn they might need to account for low-information voters when making demands or supporting policies. But this should be pretty obvious to most of us who are not so self-absorbed as to completely ignore reality. The fact that MAPs are not collectively thinking beyond this stage, shows that at this early stage, many of us are still trapped inside our own theoretical mental prisons, owing to our refusal to confront and consider the realities before us.

We have also been an initiator in attempts to avert dangerous examples of assimilationism, such as hebephile assimilationism - something that could distance a considerable proportion of MAPs. For example, an article of mine contains a prediction that the idea of Youthlove might be abused towards such ends. Nothing was forcing me to take early precautions against that potential abuse of language.

I argued widely throughout the community, that eventually (maybe in many decades) the less dogmatic Anti-c pedophiles should question AC/NOMAP Ideology and adopt a moderate pro-c position, in order to avoid being distanced by hebephiles. The relatively large number of Hebephiles, many of whom are yet to join our ranks, will be able to endorse pragmatic age reforms such as our own, while expressing contempt for "lesser" minorities. They will do this out of fear wider society will reject them, and will be aided by their safety in numbers. These events are inevitable in any broad civil rights movement, and we must be prepared for them, when they happen.

Tendentious claim: "Newgon" is Biologically Essentialist

"Newgon" makes appeals to "biological reality" in establishing a normative argument for attraction to minors.

I have seen this claim made via the NNIA server itself, and also on Twitter. It does not feature in the MAP Wiki article.

Our guides and publications do not claim that sexuality is inborn (although may in some cases suggest that it is largely immutable). This puts us at odds with the mainstream LGBT Movement and other activists, who appear to rely upon a natural/normative explanation as to why others should accept them for who they are. We have been dismissed as bioessentialist, perhaps as a result of producing guides and anthologies that present empirical data about the nature and correlates of pedophilia and other attractions. The producer of Law and Order: SVU, for example, seized upon the bioessentialist trope, to make us appear more "menacing" in their fictitious representation, during the episode Hardwired.

Biological essentialism is at odds with my personal views and most of the material I publish via this site, and appears to have been assumed because it fits in with the general pattern of profiling seen in the above claims.

Upheld claim: "Newgon" undermines a link between pedophilia and psychopathy

"Newgon" dismisses the popular idea that pedophiles show higher levels of "psychopathy" than the general population.

One suggestion as to why MAP Wiki found our anthology on psychopathy and abnormal psychology so offensive

One of our research anthologies MAP Wiki objected to, was the page documenting how pedophiles are no less psychopathic than members of the general population.[10] While this is already well-established in the scientific literature, and based on what was until recently pioneering research into non-criminal, non-clinical populations of MAPs, MAP Wiki rather tellingly described the page as "ableist". Given this page does not pass judgment against psychopaths or the mentally ill in any way, but merely demonstrates pedophiles are no more psychopathic than the general population, I am left wondering to what exactly they are objecting.

All that can be said in this case is that MAP Wiki (being edited by self-identifying psychopaths and sociopaths) are rather giving the game away by critiquing a page that does not mock psychopaths and mentally ill people. What it does is dryly recite quotes from research papers showing how such characteristics are not associated with pedophilia. Quotes that just happen to undermine their declared agenda of maintaining what is colloquially presented as the "deviance" and "degeneracy" of MAPs. Perhaps a name-change is in order for their project, one that better reflects their affiliation for harmful stereotyping of both MAPs and psychopaths as inextricable groups.

A word on "psychopaths" (if they so identify); a group who can indeed become politically mobilised for better visibility and understanding. Their mobilization should be on the basis that any impulse they feel to inflict harm upon others is controlled by strength of will, the realization of ethical outlets, or finally by pharmaceutical treatments. Said treatments or outlets, which they will have access to free at the point of use, should be developed under a co-operative model free from licensing restrictions. I support them towards those ends, and will even acknowledge common-cause where possible, but we are fighting for fundamentally different things.

The MAP community strongly rejects any suggestion its members are fundamentally, or even to any greater degree "psychopathic", and wishes to disassociate itself immediately from any organizations attempting to pedal that lie either directly or by way of identarian posturing/attacking the messenger. I can only imagine most self-identifying psychopaths feel exactly the same way.

Upheld claim: "Newgon" denys the systemic persecution of Boy Lovers

"Newgon" encourages MAPs to view their role as scapegoats as a function of their oppression, not an imagined "persecution".

Again, completely ignoring the fact that a short essay of mine encourages readers to take a structural and dispassionate view of their oppression,[58] the MAP Wiki article misquotes me[10] by taking the following out of context, as so:

He claims antis "want [boylovers] to survive and prosper"

This is a misquote. "They want you to survive and prosper in your appointed role..." is the full quote. And what does that "appointed role" refer to? Look no further than the previous sentence:

Your disadvantage is, to put it crudely, functional, and they want you to keep fulfilling that function.

So I am clearly and unambiguously referring to the fact that Boy Lovers are expected to fulfil their socially-disadvantaged role, over a prolonged period of time. This is an incredibly dishonest and deliberate misquote. "Vanity Wiki" or otherwise, whoever attempted to foist that off on their readers while citing the original in plain sight, should be utterly ashamed of their work.

Other parties' claims

An analysis of the claims made by other parties.

Straw-man and genetic fallacies

Within online discourse on Child Sexual Abuse and Child Pornography, Newgon is an often-cited resource, meaning respondents must find a way to discredit it. This is usually done by building a straw-man argument of the "activist pedophile" and appealing to readers' tendency not to check sources fully. The most common direct or formal criticism used against Newgon in online debates, however, is a genetic attack.

Genetic fallacy:

Your source, NewgonWiki is an activist organization that has among its aims, reducing the age of consent to 12 in some cases. As a result, I am inclined to overlook what they have cited in their "research" collections.

Or simply stated:

No. You are using NewgonWiki as a source...

The articles cited on NewgonWiki are nearly always from independent academic journals, and peer-reviewed. Our selection process biases the literature towards what we consider to be representative sampling, although much of it remains unrepresentative - usually in a way that favors the official narrative. But this is besides the point. Our excerpts are deemed to be a starting place for readers who wish to gain a broader and deeper understanding of the subjects at hand, and the present state of scholarship in these areas. Are you able and willing to put that time and energy into understanding our subject, or just seeking to denigrate us?

I recommend debate participants not to link NewgonWiki, and to make use of shadow libraries and screenshots when referencing material. This also eliminates any perception that Newgon is being repeated verbatim by bad actors as a dictionary resource for "pedophile apologia".

Youth Liberationist MAPs

In 2021 and 2022, MAP "Youth Liberationists" were seemingly a thing on Twitter.

These MAPs, it appeared, had not learned any lessons from the past conduct of pedophiles who adopted this poise, and the embarrassing ease with which they were summarily dismissed to whence they came. Boldly believing it was "different this time", they felt they were better positioned to present themselves as sincere in their appeal to higher loyalties.[59]

Newgon has been criticized by these people for supporting "Youth Rights" reforms in its ethos, but not mentioning the broader philosophy of "Youth Liberation", as alternatively defined. Their argument is usually a vague straw man - a claim that pure pro-c's "from Newgon" just don't grasp the theory. In my case, I apparently miss the point, ignorant even after reading all the major texts 15 years ago out of frustration with forum users who were not even contemplating the topic. "Youth Liberation" theory, therefore becomes like a bible-text for a certain kind of online pedo discourser who is unable to critique their own theory as praxis.

Many of the critics here were young, heavily engaged with IdPol and had not properly entertained the idea of public-facing activism themselves. They tended to be anti-contact or at best neutral, and advocates of Paraphilia labeling. Some considered themselves to be Anarchist MAPs as well as "Youth Liberationists". This was despite ultimately opposing even broad-sweeping Age of License rights reforms such as our own proposal. They appeared to ignore the central role that such incremental reforms have played in all of the major civil rights struggles of the 19th and 20th Centuries and remained bound by their immersion in theory on this subject.

I challenged many MAP Youth Liberationists on Twitter when the label had become a momentary fad in 2021/22. I wanted to know how "Youth Liberation" was distinguished from Youth Rights, how it might be achieved, and how having a group like MAPs publicly on their side would help existing Youth Liberationists.

The view among some MAP "Youth Liberationists", it transpired, was that children and youth must be liberated from oppressive capitalist structures before being burdened with any "unfair" or "inappropriate" rights and responsibilities, such as the right to consent to sex. Apart from that, they left me none the wiser. What they would do when empowered and consent-aware youth who turned around and said "yes" remained a mystery.

Their approach is also problematic in that it doesn't even ask about youths' intermediate role in freeing themselves from an oppressive economic environment. In other words, the process of attaining and exercising incremental freedoms, or rights. It thus perpetuates a kind of cyclical paternalism towards young people.

This wasn't the only hole in how self-declared MAP Youth Liberationists and "Anarchists" approached the topic of youth-adult sexuality. Said individuals, while being lukewarm or evasive on full bodily autonomy for youth, are usually willing to grant other rights to youth almost immediately, suggesting their opinions on sex owe more to internalizing society's sex-negative and anti-youth values. My personal theory, is they actually have a deep fear of holding an "uncool" opinion. This apparent internal struggle reminded me of the Lolicons who protest angrily their "hatred" of the one thing they regularly masturbate over drawings of - children.

After learning more about "Youth Liberationist" MAPs' philosophy, I wanted to know what their exact objections were concerning Newgon. They alleged Newgon as a text "selectively deploys" Youth Liberation Philosophy. For starters, this appeared to be projection on their part. They were not only selectively appropriating Youth Liberation to cover their attraction to young people, but failing to apply it consistently to young people's bodily autonomy, lest they be seen as "uncool" by Alpha Youth Liberationists. It did eventually turn out that their fears were well-founded, when their posing was swiftly detected.[60]

MAP Youth Liberationists' argument concerning Newgon was ultimately horse-shit in any event. Newgon hasn't explicitly adopted or endorsed Youth Lib ideas in any way. Instead we proposed a very basic, non-binding Youth Rights platform in 2021. As we clearly state in our ethos, we are willing to co-operate across the board with respect to different ages of license, treating them all as equally important. Even if we were to describe our rights-based system as a Youth Lib position, it would therefore not be selective - quite the opposite.

In a broader sense, our topical focus as such remains selective, because we are Newgon. We exist to represent the needs of our MAP Members, MAP Allies and any youth (including some MAPs and AAMs) who are touched by these topics. To us, shared pro and anti-c MAP objectives such as declassification of attraction to minors, countering stigma and promoting the rights of young people should not be compromised in any co-operative effort. This is the very reason we take a step back and not only moderate our demands in relation to these topics, but stick to those moderate demands. If the root of your oppression is the idea that you are unhinged, predatory and beyond reason, would your first move be to sabotage your own effort by making a set of absurd demands?

One important issue here, is that despite all the online role playing, MAP co-operation with Youth Advocates of any kind is not yet forthcoming. It might not be for decades. We are therefore discussing a wholly hypothetical situation.

So while Newgon's position is a basic Youth-Rights proposal that lacks immediate viability, any MAPs who claim to be pursuing "liberation" of all minors and children will most certainly be sidelined - typecast as "self-interested" for the foreseeable future. They will be forced into the shadows, living a lie and advancing the politics of anti-MAPs by supporting a toothless, denialistic, anti-MAP "YouthLib" movement with a severe case of adjacency anxiety. You can be a MAP and you can be a Youth Liberationist. But in the 2020s, you can not be both at the same time.[60] Indeed, the half-hearted "contact-neutral" or anti-contact approach of supposed MAP "Youth Liberationists" I described, appears to be deeply assimilationist in nature. An assimilationism based on anxiety concerning these bad optics, but inadvertently producing its very own horror-show of young-sex "liberation" clowns. The same goes for their transparent attempts at painting other MAPs as "self interested", something I'm sad to say I actually witnessed when said fad was in its pomp. MAP Youth Liberationists assumed they, as the pure God-Scholars of YL "theory" were not self-interested. There was something so deeply impure about being "self-interested", and it was just not them.

Ultimately, the Philosophy of Youth Liberation, while admirable in its intentions, is an adult construct, prepared for minors and children. This is why virtually every "Youth Liberationist" online (pedo or not) is a young, or naive adult. It is inevitable the experiences of young people themselves will be the driving force behind any incremental scheme of youth rights. But unfortunately, much like Youth Lib philosophy, these experiences will be interpreted through the adult lens. Youth, while central to their own struggle, will ultimately be relying on adult lawmakers to make those initial reforms - that very paternalism "Liberationists" unwittingly leave them at the mercy of.

The needs and experiences of young people necessitating these changes, are still ultimately inseparable from adult-dominated society, economy and media. However, with some kind of civic role, young people can then start to slowly increase their bargaining power on their own terms.

Finally, it should be warned that in pure demographic terms, minors are relatively insignificant and have been given little natural motive to seek "liberation" thusfar. Their lives are supported and their freedoms are not far away in any event. However unjust, the fastest route to youth emancipation is time itself; just wait 4 or so years. Political elites know this. They know the system conspires against minors in more subtle ways than their supposed "liberators" might imagine.

Youth Sexual Rights Activists

Screencap from a video, credit, Heather_860

More criticism was received in a video by a person who presents herself as a youth-rights activist exclusively for sex between teens (or teens and adults), on the basis that teens are themselves biological adults. She appears to be a lone operator and does not come from the same MAP Tumblr clique we mentioned earlier, nor the Youth Libs, often using the word "pedo" as a slur. She also denigrates the concept of the "MAP" as absurd gerrymandering.

Her argument is in the video screen-capture right. I had claimed on Twitter.com that around 90% of MAPs are either hebephiles or attracted to older minors. From the number of hebephiles (by definition MAPs) and "ephebophiles" (a portion thereof will be "MAPs") that appear in phallometric studies, this would appear to be a fair estimate. This is because true pedophilia is projected at around 2-3% of men, yet phallometric studies often produce double digit counts for all preferential attraction to minors - sometimes going as high as 30% with hebephilic stimuli. The producer of the video falsely presented the idea that a I had counted the entire sample - including teleiophiles to bolster my claims. This would clearly be unnecessary, both in the case of the table graphic cited in the video, and from a brief analysis of other data presented on our website.

The same youth rights activist who made this video, has in the past claimed that Newgon promotes the concept of Ephebophilia, when in fact we merely have an article on the subject. That article questions the conceptual validity of Ephebophilia, suggesting that it should be considered Teleiophilic instead. Since well before these arguments were made, Newgon has been removing references to Ephebophilia from other articles, or replacing them with Hebephilia, a concept that was often conflated with Ephebophilia during the time many of our articles were written. At no point since reopening in 2021 has a Newgon activist used social media to promote the concept of Ephebophilia, and some have argued against it.

Men's Rights Activists (MRAs)

There is a surprising overlap between the assimilationism of what I described above as "Youth Sexual Rights Activists" and that of MRAs. I mention this only because the person who made the arguments in the Youth Sexual Rights section had described herself as a Social Justice Warrior who mixed within those circles, on one occasion. Yet, here she was arguing that young people should be given certain rights to bodily autonomy because they are "biological adults", and attraction to teens is "normal sexuality". These are arguments you might describe as both assimilationist and "essentialist", lacking that basis of "wokeness" you would expect from a Social Justice Warrior.

Masculinist Boylovers

Newgon = MAPs capitulating to Feminism.

One of the more unusual criticisms, completely counter to NNIA's reading, and usually levelled on "old-fashioned" websites such as BoyChat.[61][62] This, much like many of the other criticisms, spans from a fundamental misunderstanding of the organization's purpose. We have documented, for example, sex-positive feminists - clearly implying this is a trend that should be encouraged, while criticizing conservative feminism as counter to our objectives, and "mainstream" feminism as a crucial battleground, and therefore a potential danger.[63]

Wikipedians

See our front-page treatment of Wikipedia, article on censorship, and Wikipedia's role in perpetuating hoaxes.

It should be noted that Wikipedia has an undeniable history with Newgon Organization, spanning back into the 00s. More recently, their in-house "List of pedophile advocacy organizations", which erroneously (by its own definition of Pedophilia) excludes Anti-contact and Neutral-c organizations, has characterized Newgon as a lobbying group for "pedophile rights". This is a simple duplication of unsubstantiated opinions stated by journalists and researchers, and should be attributed as such. While Newgon pushes for the social destigmatization of MAPs, never has "pedophile rights" been stated as part of our platform, since it would be considered too narrow.

The ungainly (and unfortunate) terminology "justifies child molestation" has also been deployed in some copies. It can easily be seen from our rather moderate consent reform proposal, that if this were the case, it would rely on a definition of "child" similar to that used by international bodies such as the United Nations. In other words, the legalistic definition of childhood. On this matter, Wikipedia is unclear whether or not childhood ends at puberty or legal majority, referencing both boundaries in its Child Sexual Abuse article.

  18. See, e.g. [1] and [2] for "Biasto" (rape) variants, [3] for "Apto" (grooming) pride, and [4] [5] for zoosadism and necrophiliac pedophilic zoo.

  20. An anti contact look at youth liberation - Lecter
  21. Archived doxx document of screen grabs shared online from Jan 2024, deliberately excluded (personal information), will send to trusted individuals.
  22. BC post in which I criticize the idea BLs are routinely persecuted
  23. See for example the near complete absence of Fediverse coverage for three MAPs currently incarcerated in South America, even during the period where their experiences were being paraded through the hostile media and pumped on Twitter by two reactionary/reactionary-adjacent NGOs.
  24. Such as Transabled, Transage, Transrace and Transgrassallergy.
  25. See the constant baiting and shaming of "neutral" or suspected "pro-c's" in this community such as the "half in, half-out" B4U-ACT MAP activist known as Katie Cruz, who has been subject to struggle-sessions centering on her (ironic) use of the term "master race", and view that deliberate edginess might be somewhat deleterious to social progress for MAPs.

  29. Freak University Ask: A confected story from a "former" "Newgon" server member.
  30. This non-western cultural practice of masturbating babies/infants to pacify them is surprisingly common, unrelated to Nepiophilia, and is well known to those better read on these topics. See, for example Research: Youth sexuality, Research: Nonwestern Intergenerational Relationships and Research: Sexual repression.
  31. Ewgone on sex with babies
  32. Even a year beforehand, concerns as to the arbitrary and irresponsible conduct of Epik were well known, in addition to suspending MAP domains.
  33. Lecter's OP accusing "Newgon" of orchestrating the downfall of vulnerable Fediverse instances secured anonymously with cheap domain registrars.
  34. Here are things you all need to explicitly retire from your vocabulary and online expression ... soyjaks and chads
  35. 35.0 35.1 Iris - highly speculative "wall of text" in which everything is blamed on "Newgon". Because of the unhinged demeanor, it is hard to establish who or what is initially being described as "Newgon"; but it decides a year later on I was responsible for harrassment.
  36. Copy of Newgon article on MAP Wiki - Aug 2023
  37. 37.0 37.1 Para Flags Wiki: All files
  38. Lecter, it appears humorously used something approximating a flipped version of my 2021 design as the background for an "Aptomap" grooming pride flag featuring hard candy. This is obviously not plagiarism, despite lack of credit.
  39. Scramblecore designed multiple derivative flags based on mine. To any sane person, this is not "plagiarism".
  40. Both Lecter and Pappy have designed flags that appear to derive from this competition, the former without acknowledging the link. To any sane person, this is clearly not plagiarism, but it must be so, if my linking the 2009 and 2018 designs is an "accusation" thereof.

  43. 43.0 43.1 Copy of MAP Merch Shop - Internet Archive - Katie Cruz's venture. The products show designs derived from my 2021 MAP Flag edit, next to Lecter's own shop items (i.e. Anemoen). The "Newgon" category is visible down the page. To disclaim, Newgon only ever created articles mentioning this website, and I did not profit from it in any way, or have an outlet on the shop.
  44. Example of Katie using this terminology
  45. MAP Wiki - Newgon (Aug, 2023) - This may not be the first version, but is the earliest archive I can find. I distinctly remember the first version suggested I "named" rather than "renamed" and the latter was his "correction".

  51. Renew America: "I will acknowledge that I am a pederast (among many other things, including recovered Pentecostal and now atheist and bisexual and human being), but I have never been charged with violating any sex laws, let alone been 'convicted' of violating any of them."
  52. NNIA post by Lilitha"So... I got a birthday card today from an "Iris", today. But, it's not my birthday. Not even close. The card they sent was a screamer card that can't be shut off. And trying to access the battery compartment reveals it's full of glitter as a counter-tampering measure. In the card they call me a "paramisic bastard"... Gee. I wonder who THAT could be... 😒"

  61. BC - "Feminist" criticism, one of a few such examples
  62. BoyChat Thread in which King of Zembla criticizes Newgon for being too weak in the face of "women's" demands. Following claims on MAP Wiki that included claiming a Bill Andriette article from 2002 contained a "transphobic screed", despite not mentioning transgender.
  63. Strategist of Newgon Organization on Feminism. Casual use of the term "pedo" in reference to MAPs, as per norms of the website.
